I do the same for a few specific subreddits that just aren't as active on Lemmy yet. Also less frequently as time goes on.
The response is usually "well they'll never get active if people still use reddit" and it's like...just give it time? Lemmy has to be attractive to the average user first before the niches will grow, and it isn't quite there yet. That's ok. We will get there.
Reddit doesn't need to die today. Lemmy doesn't need to be crowned tomorrow. It's ok to let this transition happen at its own pace. Reddit is going to get progressively worse and chase people out as Lemmy solidifies. The direction is clear.
