Still close enough to cause gimbal to stutter for a split of a second, but it's quite delicate piece of technology and pressure wave from the missile can cause that quite far away. I suppose mavic is a too small target for that system.

Supposedly these things are able to target and hit HIMARs missiles, so a Mavic sized drone shouldn't be a problem for it.

What Russia say and what Russia do are very different, however.

I'm not an expert by any stretch, but I'd assume that radar signature for a cellphone with propellers is a bit different than a 4 meter long steel sewer pipe packed with explosives.
