That’s what we know.But when we arrive the Castle is clearly haunted by ghosts, undead servants, gargoyles (etc.) but there’s also a TON of Statues scattered throughout the castle.We see the servants trying extra hard to scrub the spotless Castle’s halls as if they are trying to erase something impossible to get out - even harder than blood - their history. The trauma of being under siege by the executioners.What if the statues were made in the image of the lords and ladies that once occupied the halls in life? The statues are just a coping mechanism for the Castle’s ghostly inhabitants to pretend things was as they once were.
