I didn’t like pineapple on pizza for the longest. I changed my mind when I had a local Italian deli’s pizza.

Attached is a pic of it because it looked so amazingly good.

Don’t trust any franchise chain for doing justice for pineapple on a pizza. Their ingredient choices are likely to blame.

I think a lot of people who dislike pineapple on pizza first tried it at like a Domino's or something, where they either make it way too soggy and ruin the pizza or make it way too dry and ruin the pineapple. Pineapple needs a delicate balance of juiciness, and every time I've tried it at a mediocre pizza place, they just don't get it right. I think another component of this too is that pineapple pizza is at its absolute peak when it's on very thin crust, and I think that might be in part because it's somehow easier to balance out that juiciness.

But when they do get it right? Oh my god, it's amazing.
