Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Ang weird lang na mag expect ng respect yung mga religious folks habang iniignore nila yung kawalan nila ng respeto sa human rights ng mga namarginalize dahil sa religion.

Respect, is used as a form of control to shield questionable religious leaders from being called-out, while at the same time justifying shitty, chronic, toxic behavior.

It has been only in these kinds of religious circles that I have seen quotes such as "respect is earned, not given" taken wildly out of context and "no one is perfect".

When you are not perfect, or disrespectful HABITUALLY, aka an habitual line-stepper you're gonna get your ass whupped one day figuratively, literally, or legally.
