Perhaps not too surprising to us, but researchers are discovering just how great undersea grasses are at filtering out pollutants. Sounds like planted aquariums are the way to go! (www.seattletimes.com)

For personal aquariums. A lot of these systems are fractals, big or small. Grasses should help keep aquariums cleaner, too.
