AN UNOFFICIAL IF BOOKS COULD KILL COMMUNITY ON LEMMY

A place to discuss the podcast If Books Could Kill hosted by Michael Hobbs and Peter Shamshiri. The show about the airport bestsellers that captured our hearts and ruined our minds.

Rules Rule #1: No fascists. No tankies. No exceptions.

Rule #2: Be nice to each other. You can argue all you want but be respectful.

Rule #3: No threats. No encouragement or glorification of violence.

Rule #4: Content must be related to If Books Could Kill or other Michael Hobbs or Peter Shamshiri projects. The extended universe, for example might include Maintenance Phase, 5-4 or You're Wrong About.

Rule #5: The shelf doesn't need to go up.

To use the correct language we're asking you "could you be nice to each other?" not "would you be nice to each other?"

Did he teach you how to smelt pennies in the backyard?

Haha fortunately no, he was just a super early adopter of the grindset. Back when that shit was in "book on tape" format.

I'm not a high enough patreon supporter to vote on new eps but I wish they'd cover Think and Grow Rich. It's from 1937, sold 20 million copies, and is basically the grandfather of the "you're poor because you aren't braining correctly" genre.

Napoleon Hill, yeah I know the one. It's essentially just The Secret but maybe better written.
