Thoughts on D23 announcements?

For many of the announcements no official trailer/images exist, so we may just have to talk about them.

Movies & TV

  • Captain America: Brave New World - Nothing new to discuss, Red Hulk face/body screenshots show.
  • Fantastic Four: First Steps - Just started filming, not much new to show off yet.
  • Ironheart - TV series following Riri Williams from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. No confirmed release date AFAIK.
  • Daredevil: Born Again - full Netflix cast is back, Foggy, Karen, Punisher. Releases in March 2025.

Animation

  • X-Men '97 - Season 2 in the works.
  • What If... - Season 3 will be the end and wrap up the Watcher/Multiverse arc. Mech based episode. Moon Knight. Monica Rambeau.
  • Eyes of Wakanda - Tells stories about warriors in Wakanda history. Planned 2024 release.
  • Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man - Alternate universe Spider-Man growing up, features Norman Osborne.
  • Marvel Zombies - four episodes, Shang-Chi featured.

I watched the leaked Daredevil trailer that they showed and I'm so excited. My favorite superhero and my favorite show, and it looked tonally similar to the Netflix run. Although the fight scene they showed had a few cuts so I don't know if they kept the one shot fight scenes.

Im really exited by the idea of Kingpin just hanging around and causing all sorts of trouble for many heroes. We saw him pop up briefly in Hawkeye and then again in Echo. Each did an OK job, but I'm ready for a more focused 1 on 1 with Daredevil.
