We are a Pro-Conservative forum. Posts must have a clear pro-conservative, or anti left-wing bias. We are interested in promoting conservatism and discussing things that might get ignored elsewhere. All sources are acceptable, however reputable sources with a reputation for factual reporting are preferred.

Dissent is allowed in the comments, but try to be constructive; if you do not agree, then provide a reason which is backed up by references or a reasonable alternative interpretation of the provided facts. That means the left wing is welcome to state their opinions, but please keep it in good faith.
A polite request, not a rule, if you feel the need to report a comment, please don't reply to it.

With the bill, a driver license and a state issued id also work. I have no idea where you got that only birth certificate or passport will work
A driver's license or state issued ID does not prove citizenship. They are issued to green card holders and other people who are not US citizens. These are the types of documents necessary to prove citizenship to get a passport.

You realize that those two things cost money, right?
Poll taxes are prohibited. 👎
The Democrats hand out driver's licenses to illegal aliens. Do we want that to be the proof for voting? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driver%27s_licenses_for_illegal_immigrants_in_the_United_States
A passport validates you are a citizen. Even real ID does not prove citizenship.
I think we need a system in which one must prove one's citizenship to vote in a federal election. Voting in a federal election is right only to citizens.
