They’re facing the right way. Rowers face the stern.

Ah. Well then the boat is the wrong way around. The prow shouldn't face the stern.

The prow is in the right place near the bow. I can’t tell what way it’s facing with people on all sides of the table. Pointing the bow rather than rounding it would probably have made it less awkward.

Maybe the artist made it a nonsense ship on purpose as part of the commentary
