Should we try to promote our community on /r/Milwaukee? (self.milwaukee)

I'd like to see this community grow a tad faster but I don't know if the general public would take to fedivese shenanigans.

If anybody has suggestions how we try to pull more people in, I'd be all for it. Just not sure how to word it on there and make it easy enough to understand but also not come off entitled or snobby.

EDIT: Well I attempted and failed. The post was down voted to hell. Maybe its too soon to try.

There is a better argument to get folks to switch from twitter/faceboook to mastodon or instagram to pixelfed because the software is more flushed out. Kbin and Lemmy are still a little alpha. I'm a little afraid that if you get a normie to give the community a try, they will get frustrated.
