A server admin has full access to the machine running the actual lemmy server. Basically the one that can do updates to the site. They have full terminal access to the server.
A site admin on lemmy is an admin on the instance itself, giving full control over the website, but not updates of any kind. They can ban, approve users, change the sidebar, and remove communities.
Ah, ok. I had a feeling. That makes a lot of sense thank you for clarifying! And like hylander lol there can only be one server admin ? Wouldn't make sense to have two I would think
It could. People can work on the same server. It just needs good communication. Also if one sleep another could pick up the slack.
