Yes, that is exactly my point. Japanese and Chinese people have similar skin tones and some other features in common, but punishing the Chinese for what the Japanese did in the past is as wrong as shooting this rock for the dinosaurs.
I think you're right. The asteroid literally kamikaze'd itself so the analogy actually works quite well
