Jerry has been very funny throughout his stand-up career. Unfortunately he's really out of touch these days because he's from 3 generations prior, and hasn't had exposure to society as it changed because he's thoroughly insulated by his hundreds of millions of dollars.

I specified his stand-up. You may not find it funny now, perhaps because it's no longer a fresh new style of comedy, and there are a lot of derivative artists, but millions of people found him to be very funny for a very long time.
