He acknowledges that no matter how strong the love for his son is to him, his integrity as the president is more important.

Stark contrast with Trump who believes that nothing is more important than himself.

Tbf, he would be stupid if he said anything else with elections looming. He might still pardon him after elections, or even when his second term draws to an end.

Is everyone in America braindead when talking about politics, or did you just lower to base Trump supporter level assuming I was one?

I only said that he might not be honest. Politician, especially just before elections, is the very anti-thesis of honesty. Just because he said something is not point of praise.
Doesn't automatically mean I want you to elect brain rot to office, lol.
