Great to see the numbers are on again. 👍 😀
Apparently since it's gone on for months now, the Russians have decided that 1000+ personnel lost per day is the new normal!!
They're currently recruiting/pressganging as much, so they've clearly chosen war of attrition against Ukraine that just don't have the population to sustain it. I think the population ratio of Russia : Ukraine is about 4 : 1, and Russia keeps stealing people from allied countries as well.
Edit: corrected ratio to 2024 population
AFAIK Ukraine is actually managing to meet the 1:4 ratio on the battlefield, by not sacrificing their soldiers like the Russians do.
I heard that attacks on the surroundings of Kharkiv Ukraine estimated a ratio of 1:8, it was probably similar with Avdiivka and probably even higher with Bakhmut.
Ukraine is fighting against steep odds, but amazingly they are doing extremely well considering the circumstances. Probably the advantage of NOT having an insane leader.
The population ratio between Russia and Ukraine is 3.4 : 1. Ukraine is obviously weaker the smaller country, but Russia is the agressor and they send their men in human wave attacks. Right now the casulties are very much in Ukraines favour.
You're right, I'm mixing Russias population with the US.
Worldometer figures put it at 3,8 : 1 though
