Are we checking? This is a place to take a p*ss out of motorsports.

F1 is not the only motorsport in the world, so go ahead and post your shitposts about WEC or MotoGP or IndyCar or ralley or Polish Speedway or whatever. Even Formula E, I guess. It needs some love, too.

By the way, F2 > F1.

Rules? What rules? Stop inventing. Just don't be a douche. Lemmy.world's sporting conduct applies.

Carlos bringing the DAD VOICE: "Tell me the other driver positions and their tires AND DO IT QUICKLY". Like a Red Foreman trying to figure out which of the kids in his basement smoked what at the water tower before he goes to explain to the cops waiting in the living room what's what.

I have a strong feeling Sainz is done. Look at Ferrari releasing them in the wrong order dur8ng quali and having him let Leclerc past in the pitlane before their outlap not once, but TWICE.

Sainz is out for sure, he doesn't have patience for that shit. But damn I worry for Charles, especially now that the family friend is his team principal. I'm not feeling that Charles has the guts to send them to hell.

send them to hell… to go where?

It's been speculated to go to Audi, I think there's a connection with his father I think?

Norris was also speculated to move there, but if McLaren really are making such progress as the last GP suggests, he might wanna stay put.

going to audi why? to suffer in a backmarker team that will take 10 years to build?

he’s in Ferrari, a top team, and they made it clear that they want him to stay. if he wants to win races, this is for a long time the best he can get to, despite his skills.

Well I said speculated.

The 2nd RB seat may also free up, who knows. And Carlos used to be a RB junior so from their side it's not even betraying the system.

I can't really see Ferrari getting good again. Their whole organisation is just clearly rotten. Just like Renault, they are stuck in the glory days and didn't notice how the F1 has changed in the last 20 years.

I guess they could try to learn from the WEC Hypercar team, but they'd still need to fire all the bullshitters first, and those are evidently way too deeply ingrained.

At this pace, I can see even Williams winning a race sooner than Ferrari

I still feel like a Sainz Perez swap is not out of the question

Even considering pappy Sainz and pappy Verstappens issues

Yeah, he is so done with their bullshit. When he went "fuck it, I'll take care of it" after the tire shenanigans, you could hear it in his voice.
