Spotify has announced that it's hiking subscriptions for new customers in the U.S., the second such price increase in the space of a year.

Meanwhile xManager for the phone app, SpotX for linux and routing Spotify through the Adguard app in windows all allow you premium-like usage without paying a dime.

Spotify could fix that by making an actual hifi version that's actually hifi for the paid version, but nooo, that'd take actual effort to provide a product actually worth money.
