Yeah but he isn't connected to Vtubers or Hololive specifically, right?

I understand why Japan would do this in a general sense, but its odd to me that a vtuber agency like Hololive would have a collab with MLB. Just like Niji (HA) having a collab with NBA. I don't imagine there is a large overlapping demographic where the vtubing agencies think they will gain a lot of revenue or new followers from it. I would imagine some anime specifically related to baseball would have a larger overlap.

Japanese player and Japanese company. That was my point.

Also baseball is popular in Japan. They did Nippon Professional Baseball league so why not do MLB.

Yeah, I know. I agree with you.

I just don't see the market overlap they want to tap into being there. Like how there probably aren't a large number of F1 fans that would have an interest in marketing for home office products. I don't see how they make a lot of money from this from a business perspective.

It's about getting more eye balls looking at you. Some of them may become fans and buy some merchandise.
