As weird and awkward as I found that, it was probably exactly the thing he wanted to cap off his win. Starting the obligatory beef with the champ. It was pretty cringy but kind of par for the course really.
Du Plessis seems like the type of guy that's all for a ridiculous over the top feud for no reason
IDK I think it would have been better for the world to sort of be introduced to DDP ant let him talk more to help the fans know him better.
Instead we got the terrible promo even for Izzy standards that won't sell a single additional PPV or seat.
I agree but the WWE-style hype marketing is how everybody seems to think it has to be done and I’d even bet Du Pleiss expected it. You’re right though. Just about anything would have been better than what actually went down.
I don't know why they let him in the ring in the first place
