Have you managed to sort out a way to remain as connected to the city as you were before? If you are enjoying Lemmy/kbin, what stands out as something you would appreciate seeing more of in the Calgary community here?

I would be interested in getting more of a niche community going as I do really enjoy Lemmy overall and appreciate the somewhat slower pace as well. Curious if others feel a need for something like this and thoughts around it!

I honestly never found the other site to be all that useful for staying connected to local info. It was ok, but also just a lot of weather, pics, and rants. I've been following #yyc on Mastodon and this community. Plus CBC local.
