I know they're supposed to be good for the environment but... God I hate those caps.

Problem: It's a different kind of plastic from the bottle and isn't recyclable. So it's going to need to be cut off the bottle anyway. :(

I was under the impression that for these tethered caps, they use a recyclable plastic for the caps, hence the tether. Though it is just an assumption.

Just looked at one I had in the recycling. The bottle is PET and the cap is PEHD
