Hello everyone, I’ve just joined this game a few weeks ago and am having a blast. I’m suprised how in depth the game is and even more suprised that it’s entirely free to play.

I played WoT for literal years without ever getting actually good at it. A while ago, I decided to give World of Warships a go then. Out of a general affinity for Japan and because I once saw a documentary about the Yamato, I decided to head for the Japanese Battleship line.

After a surprisingly decent first few battles, I received my first shock when I fought my first lvl 5 battle in the Kongō. As more experienced players know, and I quickly learned, that´s where the matchmaking kicks you out of the protected zone and into "real battles" with subs and carriers and all.

Where I got absolutely dunked on...AT FIRST! After I read up on PROPER Battleship gameplay, watched some videos and asked around a bit, I finally start to get it. And now that I know where and how to play my Kongō, it´s starting to feel quite a bit better. I get kills, do damage and, most importantly, win battles again! Although I still never even see those pesky subs that keep sniping me from beyond my charge range.

Anyway, glad someone made this community here, so this is my contribution to filling it with a bit of life.
