Will wefwef support kbin ? so we can use one application for both lemmy and kbin

First of all thanks a lot for this amazing PWA.

One thing I noticed on a rather slow connection is that image loading makes the scroll jumps around which is a bit bothersome when reading post titles. An option for fixed height cards should fix that I think.

Afaik haptic feedback is only possible on Android, not on iOS for web apps. Has something changed there lately? I’d love to have some haptics in the app.

Hey, look, I'm just very lazy and the "x" is so far up...

~~I spun up a docker container to self host, but when visiting the site, either locally by port or externally via nginx, I don't have the option to "install" the web app.~~

~~Using the official wefwef.app, I can install it just fine. I'm using Chrome on Android 12. Anybody else? This is using the premade docker image.~~

EDIT: So I had setup my nginx proxy to secure my self hosted version of wefwef by using basic http auth. I disabled it, and that fixed my issue for anyone who does the same.

p.s. This app is actually incredible.

Being able to easily navigate comments was one of my favorite features in Apollo. Using the downward arrow button in the bottom right of the screen when viewing comments would allow you to skip to the next thread. Holding it would skip back up. This would be amazing if possible!

Love the app btw it’s super responsive!

Long press on a post or comment should to the same thing as tapping the three-dot menu. I’m pretty sure that’s what Apollo was doing because I catch myself long pressing on everything

What I think should be added is a profile pic at the bottom, replacing the user icon, and the profile page with a pfp, name and possibly other things, though that’s the only gripes I have with the app.

I always have it open on my Android phone, and I actually even installed it as a PWA on my Windows 11 PC. I can snap it to the side and pull up my Lemmy feed anytime and get the same experience on phone and PC. I really appreciate your clearly highly skilled efforts and your admirable work ethic @[email protected] .

Having the ability to see all communities on an instance (one you’re logged into or others which are federated) would be really helpful to find new communities were interested in.

At the moment, it seems like the comments on each post are organized by whatever is the default sorting option picked for the main feed.

I would love to be able to have distinct default sorting options for both. Personally I would like to set the Feed to “New” and the Comments per post to “Top”

I was trying to write an answer to a post but I always got the error to select a language in my profile. I have already selected "undefined, English and German" in my profile.

The original lemmy site lets me pick a language for my answer, in this app I just get the error and my answer is lost.

I'm unable to answer in posts that require a selected language.

I thought maybe it would ahow up when I go to desktop Lemmy, but the ones I've saved in weffy arent there....

Hello! As a former iOS user and Apollo user, this web app is great! My only complain is the lack of an AMOLED true black dark mode option, so I thought I would post a suggestion.

Please. I am begging you wefwef, add the dracula theme already! So I can really start pretending that Apollo didn't pass away and that everything is fine. Please!

I’m a lefty. When I swipe to vote, I can’t see under my hand the vote icon. Can an option be added to swap left instead of right to vote?

Hello. Trying the app on IOS. Looks great so far.

I’ve encountered two UX issues multiple times so I wanted to share them with you:

1. Swiping up on an opened picture closes it. However, if I’m zoomed in on the picture, there seems to be no way to close it without zooming fully back out and then swiping up. That extra step makes the whole process feel janky.

2. When replying to a comment, the comment is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, the keyboard completely covers up the comment as a result. If the comment had multiple points I wanted to address, I’ve had to close the keyboard to look at it, and then open the keyboard to type multiple times. Is it possible to move the comment to the top of the screen, with a fixed height and scroll bar or something so long comments wont take up more of the reply box’s real estate? Perhaps with a seipe option to close the comment as well if necessary.

2B. I just encountered another issue as I am typing up this post. The top of the keyboard is hiding whst I am typing on a long comment like this and wont allow me to scroll further down. I have to close the keyboard and put the type marker at the end of my reply for it to update so I can see what I am typing. I’ve attached a screen.

First of all I would like to say that search in this app works great and it is easy to search post community etc.

However if the app can show me my recent search history which could be locally stored then it would be great.

Many times while browsing you need to go to some other tab and when you come back to search your context is lost due to which you need to search again.Here having recent search terms already populated will help.

I'm using wefwef on android, and have been enjoying it so far. However, sometimes I accidentally press the back button while viewing an image and it returns me to the previous page instead of closing the image, and I lose my scrolling progression too. Is there any way to customise the behaviour of the back button?
