I DO NOT HAVE A FUCKING PHONE PLAN OR FUCKING PHONE FOR THAT MATTER. STOP ASKING ME FOR SHIT I DON'T FUCKING HAVE. EVERY FUCKING MAINSTREAM SERVICE OUT THERE JUST EXPECTS YOU TO HAVE A FUCKING PHONE AND PHONE PLAN THESE DAYS. WANT TO SIGN UP FOR A WEBSITE? VERIFY YOUR GODDAMN PHONE NUMBER. WANT TO TALK IN CERTAIN DISCORD SERVERS? NO SIREE. VERIFY YOUR PHONE NUMBER FIRST. LOCKED OUT OF ONE OF YOUR ACCOUNTS OVER SOME BULLSHIT REPORTS? VERIFY YOUR PHONE NUMBER TO UNLOCK IT. LITERALLY JUST FUCKING EXISTING? VERIFY, VERIFY, VERIFY! FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK, STOP PROMPTING ME TO VERIFY MY FUCKING HUMANITY WITH A PHONE NUMBER. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO LOOK FOR FUCKING WORKAROUNDS AND BYPASSES TO GET AROUND THIS SHIT. EVEN IF I DID HAVE AN ACTIVE PHONE NUMBER, YOU AIN'T GETTING JACK SHIT FROM ME. THIS IS NOT MADE TO PROTECT YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE, IT IS ONLY MADE SO THESE FUCKTARD COMPANIES CAN SELL YOUR DATA TO DATA BROKERS, WHO WILL THEN SELL THAT DATA TO ROBOCALLERS WHO WILL CALL YOU ALL THE FUCKING TIME! LOOK, YOU'RE NOT GETTING MY NUMBER. IF I HAVE TO FIND FUCKING FAKE PHONE NUMBERS OR SIGN UP TO TEMP NUMBER SERVICES, THEN SO FUCKING BE IT, BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO POTENTIALLY BREAK THE FUCKING LAW TO GET SOME FUCKING SENSE OF PRIVACY. I LITERALLY HAVE A NUMBER ON TEXTNOW THAT IS BASICALLY FUCKING USELESS AND IS ONLY USABLE FOR MAKING CALLS AND TEXTING. EVEN IF I WAS ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER TO GET A VERIFICATION CODE IN THE FORM OF A SMS, IT WOULDN'T WORK, BECAUSE "OH, YOU NEED TO SIGN UP FOR ANOTHER FUCKING SUBSCRIPTION (LOCK-IN NUMBER) TO GET VERIFICATION CODES"! FUCK, I CAN'T EVEN PARTICIPATE IN SOME TWITCH CHATS DUE TO THIS BULLSHIT BECAUSE SOME FUCKING STREAMERS SET UP THIS STUPID-ASS 'VERIFIED ACCOUNTS ONLY CHAT' BULLSHIT THAT FORCES YOU TO VERIFY VIA PHONE NUMBER TO ACCESS THEM. AND GUESS WHAT? MY TEXTNOW NUMBER? FUCKING USELESS ON ABOUT 90% OF SERVICES ON THE FUCKING INTERNET! WHY? OH, WELL, BECAUSE SOME FUCKING 'GENIUS' DECIDED TO MAKE IT HARDER FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME BY BLOCKING VOIP NUMBERS COMPLETELY. AND TEXTNOW IS A VOIP SERVICE. IF I DO TOO MANY ATTEMPTS TO VERIFY, I GET 'RATE LIMITED'. FUCK. OFF. GIVE ME ANOTHER FUCKING WAY TO VERIFY BECAUSE YOU ARE SURE AS FUCKING HELL NOT GETTING ACCESS TO MORE OF MY DATA! I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO EVEN "START" THIS PROCEDURE, ANYWAY, BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A FUCKING PHONE TO BEGIN WITH! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH FUCKING PHONE PLANS COST THESE DAYS? WELL, HUNDREDS, MAYBE EVEN THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. DO YOU REALLY EXPECT ME TO GO BUY A FUCKING PHONE PLAN THAT IS OVERPRICED AS SHIT, GET A PHONE NUMBER, AND VERIFY WITH IT? OH, FUCK YOU. AND GUESS THE FUCK WHAT? GUESS WHO LOVES PHONE NUMBERS? FUCKING DATA LEAKERS. SHOULD I EVEN REMIND YOU ABOUT THE TWITCH DATA LEAK THAT TOOK PLACE OVER 2 YEARS AGO? PERSONAL INFORMATION ACCESSED. THAT POSSIBLY INCLUDED PHONE NUMBERS. THAT MEANS THAT THE PEOPLE WHO GOT BREACHED PROBABLY HAD A SHIT-TON OF ROBOCALLS. GODDAMNIT, THE INTERNET IS NOT A FUCKING EXCLUSIVE CLUB, YOU GODDAMN DICKWEEDS. BACK WHEN I WAS AROUND THE INTERNET, YOU DIDN'T NEED TO GIVE OUT JACK SHIT WHEN SIGNING UP FOR WEBSITES OR PARTICIPATING IN CHAT. HOLY FUCK, IRC DIDN'T EVEN NEED THAT SHIT. AIM DIDN'T NEED IT. YOU COULD JUST MAKE A FUCKING ACCOUNT ON THE AOL WEBSITE OR YOUR IRC CLIENT, AND BOOM, YOU COULD TALK TO ANYONE IN YOUR CONTACTS. NO STRINGS OR ANYTHING ELSE ATTACHED. BUT NOWADAYS, YOU HAVE TO GIVE OUT A SHIT-TON OF PERSONAL INFO TO ACCESS NEARLY ALMOST EVERYTHING, AND THAT INCLUDES HAVING A PHONE NUMBER, BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE, THEN YOU ARE APPARENTLY JUST FUCKED, BECAUSE EVERYONE EXPECTS YOU TO HAVE ACCESS TO A FUCKING CELLULAR DEVICE. BACK IN THE 2000S, HAVING A FUCKING PHONE WAS A FUCKING NOVELTY. YOU COULD EVEN CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY IF YOU HAD ONE. NOW, EVERYONE EXPECTS YOU TO HAVE ONE. LIKE, WHAT THE FUCK? I HATE THE FUCKING FAKE-ASS EXCUSES COMPANIES GIVE BY CLAIMING THAT HAVING A PHONE NUMBER MAKES YOU MORE SECURE. BRO, THAT IS A FUCKING LIE AND A HALF. WHERE'S MY FUCKING LIE DETECTOR? ALL IT DOES IS GIVES DATA-HUNGRY COMPANIES ACCESS TO MORE OF YOUR INFORMATION, AS IF THEY DON'T HAVE FUCKING ENOUGH OF IT ALREADY. I MISSED OUT ON SO MANY GODDAMN COOL THINGS BECAUSE OF THIS SHITTY-ASS FORCED PHONE NUMBER VERIFICATION. I FUCKING MISSED OUT ON MONSTER HUNTER FRONTIER WHEN IT WAS STILL UP AND RUNNING DUE TO THIS BULLSHIT. NOW, IT IS FUCKING SHUT DOWN FOREVER AND I MISSED OUT ON IT ENTIRELY BECAUSE OF OVERZEALOUS VERIFICATION. I TRULY THOUGHT THAT PHONE VERIFICATION WAS GOING TO BE EASY AS THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT WEBSITES WHERE YOU CAN RECIEVE SMS TEXTS WITH EITHER 'REAL' OR 'FAKE' PHONE NUMBERS. NOPE! NOT ONLY DOES THE PHONE NUMBER NOT HAVE TO BE ALREADY USED BY TOO MANY PEOPLE, BUT IT ALSO HAS TO SPECIFICALLY NOT BE A VOIP NUMBER. I MIGHT AS WELL SAY 99% OF THE ENTIRE FUCKING INTERNET DON'T SUPPORT THESE FUCKING NUMBERS. THEY MIGHT AS WELL TELL YOU TO FUCK OFF AND BUY A PHONE PLAN. "DO YOU GUYS NOT HAVE PHONES?" MIGHT AS WELL SUM UP TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION ENTIRELY. DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE A FUCKING PHONE? THEN DO NOT ASK ME FOR A FUCKING PHONE NUMBER OR ASK ME TO USE ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES AN APP! I FUCKING HATE THOSE GODDAMN 'AUTHENTICATOR' APPS BECAUSE OF THIS AS WELL, BECAUSE THEY 'ALSO' REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE ACCESS TO A PHONE. WE ALREADY PAY FOR FOOD, HOUSING, ELECTRICITY, INTERNET, WATER, AND OTHER ESSENTIALS. STOP ASKING ME TO GET A FUCKING PHONE PLAN AND PUT IN MY FUCKING PHONE NUMBER JUST TO ACCESS NEARLY HALF OF THE ENTIRE FUCKING INTERNET. BESIDES, YOU WON'T BE GETTING MY ACTUAL PHONE NUMBER EVEN IF I "DID" HAVE ONE, SO TOUGH FUCKING SHIT. GO ASK OTHER FUCKING PEOPLE TO PUT IN THEIR GODDAMN PHONE NUMBERS, BECAUSE THAT IS OBVIOUSLY YOUR FUCKING DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITY.

FUCK. YOU. ALL. 🖕

I have been on YouTube for over 8 years. I created my channel back in 2016 and I have over 10k subs across my entire channel. With this, HAAWK sees me as a prime target for their unlawful and abusive claims they are constantly allowed to do through their 3rd-party claimant status. And they should not be, in any way, allowed to do this.

Throughout my many years of being on YouTube, I have dealt with some record labels I would like to call the 'repeat offenders' of the YouTube copyright system. These include the big name record labels like UMG, WMG, and SME just to name a few. These companies have stolen so much money from me that I would not have been able to make anyway since YouTube has flat-out denied every single partner application I have made. And I am going to say that HAAWK falls under this category of being a 'repeat offender'.

Repeat offenders have a tendency to weaponize the YouTube copyright system against small, independent content creators who are unable to make a living off of YouTube, which includes myself. HAAWK is one of the many labels who constantly and very consistently attack small creators who are just trying to make it big and make a name for themselves. HAAWK just sees small creators as a huge target because they do not have the legal means and money to fight back and protect themselves against their abusive claims, but whereas someone like PewDiePie, Mr. Beast, or Markiplier would easily be able to defend themselves from this, because they have strong connections to YouTube executives, and these big creators, and many more, make YouTube money.

YouTube does not see us smaller creators worth their time, and so, we have to deal with the constant pain and suffering that comes from abusive record labels like HAAWK. These third-party record label(s) will illegally monetize content using their service, and then use those 'illegal' trademarks as a weapon against small creators. HAAWK is one of the worst offenders when it comes to this. This company takes abusing the YouTube copyright system to the next level, and it it something not even the biggest of crappy record labels like UMG will ever sink to. This company, literally, takes things to the extreme with their copyright.

HAAWK is a third-party claimant whom is known to constantly and frequently illegally monetize content that isn't theirs. And it does not go to just music. HAAWK literally goes way too far. Instead of just claiming music, they also claim free-to-use sound effects, and even go as far as stealing music from video games and monetizing it. Sometimes, it goes beyond that - sometimes the sound effects from said game can get illegally claimed under HAAWK, and the worst one I've seen is when HAAWK claimed someone's voice. Yes, you heard me right. HAAWK claimed the voice of a small creator and claimed it as their own. That is a whole other level of stooping low - Claiming you own the voice of a living, breathing person.

I make content because I love to. YouTube is my hobby, but I am very discouraged from making content when companies like HAAWK go after and attack smaller creators like us. It doesn't help that the disputes literally go back to the fraudulent party who is literally the one abusing the system. That is like me asking the bank robber for my money back. It's an ultimately ridiculous system that punishes the innocent and rewards the claimant(s) abusing the system. It is literally 'guilty until proven innocent', and it is not a mindset that any video or content sharing platform like YouTube should ever consider.

Sometimes, compilation channels will put their music through this HAAWK service, which gives them full, free reign to abuse and breach DMCA laws. The DMCA should be outright punishing claimants who constantly abuse copyright. There should be a cold, hard fine of roughly $10M dollars to companies that abuse these laws. That would scare any regular copyright troll away from abusing copyright laws again. But as far as individuals are concerned, make the fine $42k. People and companies should know that copyright is serious business and should only be used to protect their work, not constantly claim every freaking video you see on YouTube and claim that you made it when you clearly didn't.

Let me put it this way. You just made a drawing inspired (the keyword is 'inspired') by Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh and share it on your social media(s). Now, all of a sudden, you get a knock on the door, and you go to answer it. It's a man in an executive or business suit/outfit. They go on to say that the work you just drew is going to them and an unknown third party. Guess who the third party is? The claimant. They take the art away from you, the one you rightfully made and put a lot of time and effort into, and the claimant who is responsible for this laughs at you because you no longer own your 'own' work. You have two options at this point, dispute the fact you own the art you made, or take the party responsible to court. Taking them to court is a last-ditch effort and you will have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees in order to clear your name. This is the state of YouTube's copyright system in a nutshell, and it allows HAAWK and other record labels to constantly screw over small creators.

The name HAAWK actually sums up their behavior very well. They are hawks. Vultures. Complete menaces to society. They scout out and look for prime targets exactly like the vultures do, and when the perfect time comes, they strike, mainly when the creator is least expecting them. This is a systematic and, quite frankly, constant occurrence. It is not just one channel that is specifically being targeted, it is hundreds. And maybe even thousands. All at once. Creators like myself are suffering due to targeted abuse from HAAWK and similar entities. This behavior should not be allowed by YouTube, and nor should it be allowed by copyright law. This type of targeted abuse to a specific group of people would get any regular individual reprimanded. But not the record labels. They are constantly allowed to do this while the Copyright Office, and YouTube, turn a blind eye and ignore this big issue.

The worst part about this is that this HAAWK entity, and many other big record labels similar to HAAWK, are YouTube Partnered. Do you know what the 'Partner' status grants these record labels? A whole host of special powers, tools, and whatnot that small creators will never have. And this includes the ability to add your videos (or music) to YouTube's Content ID system. And if you are not a Partner, you will not be given the ability to protect your work, but whereas big record labels like HAAWK are allowed to have these powers, and if you give an entity like HAAWK these special powers, there are high chances that they will go on and abuse it. Creators like myself are often denied Partner status because of quote-unquote 'reused content', but these big bad wolves in the form of record labels are instantly given Partner, and then go on to see how far they can push their luck before someone finally has enough and sues them. And you can bet they will have people backing them up.

And that's not even the worst part of YouTube's bias when it comes to their Partner program. You have these YouTubers like SSSniperwolf who constantly create garbage content farms or outright clickbait and trick their audience. MrBossFTW is a Partner for YouTube, and what does he do? Constantly lie to his brainwashed audience and goes on and tells them that 'Oh my god a new GTA 6 trailer is incoming!'. There was another YouTuber who did just that named Sernando. He constantly made fake GTA VI covers and told his fans that he got an early copy of the game because his 'friend's friend's dad works at Rockstar Games'. And we have full-on content farms like Cocomelon who put out garbage 'kids' content and are full of just complete brainrot, and yet these channels are somehow some of the most subscribed channels on the platform. 4 channels that are either content farms or clickbait. And all 4 of them are Partnered. It makes me absolutely sick to see the bias YouTube has on some of its biggest influencers and channels.

Jacksfilms was one of the channels who critiqued SSSniperwolf's very obvious and blatant content farm via a game he played with his audience. He clearly pointed out everything that was wrong with her content, and what does she do in response? Go outside of Jack's house, record a LIVE video, and dox him. To her very massive Instagram audience. After constant back and forth from Jack and YouTube about protecting their creator(s), YouTube does the most idiotic thing ever. YouTube gives SSSniperwolf a temporary and brief suspension of her monetization, and pins the blame on both YouTubers when the one who was clearly in the wrong was SSSniperwolf. She got away with not only having a content farm, but also threatening another creator and putting them in danger. Since she has a massive audience, she is able to get away with this and gets slaps on the wrist, whereas small channels like me have to deal with constant pressure from these labels like HAAWK, Adrev, and many more. This needs to stop, and it needs to stop not later, but right now. There is no 'later' when it comes to copyright abuse.

Luckily, whenever I dispute any and all of the claims by HAAWK that they give to me on my videos, all of the claims usually get retracted within a day, and if I am really lucky, within an hour. I know there are many others who might not be as lucky as I am and often has HAAWK rejecting their disputes and forcing them to submit an appeal, which risks their channel(s) with a copyright strike. In my case, HAAWK knows that they are in the wrong, constantly, and always throws up their hands and says "You got us", and releases all of the claims on the applicable video(s). Every time I get false flagged for use of copyrighted material from HAAWK, I dispute them, and boom - claims are gone within a day. There are many others who aren't as lucky as I am and will have HAAWK be stubborn and double-down on their decision. Creators should not have to deal with the stress and anxiety that comes from dealing with big name record labels and third-party claimants such as HAAWK, and that mainly includes the very small ones that are just trying to make content that they (and their fans!) enjoy.

This is why I often encourage my fanbase to use adblockers whenever I get a claim from a record label or third-party claimant such as HAAWK. Claimants who abuse the copyright system of not just YouTube, but also America as a whole, should never be rewarded. And when the claimant puts a claim on the video, all of the ad revenue goes to the fraudulent party, the video is monetized, and the viewer now has to deal with ads that don't even support the creator financially and instead put more money in the fraudulent party's greedy wallet. And as such, I always make sure to tell my viewers that 'x company is claiming y video, make sure to turn on your adblocker when watching'. The reason I do this is not because I am getting sick of my fans being force-fed ads on my videos that get copyrighted, it is because I am sick and tired of the greedy labels and claimants laying claim to my content in the first place when they know they are in the wrong. That is the main reason why I will always support my fans who use adblockers.

You know what hurts a company, record label, claimant, or entity? People not giving them money. Record labels, claimants, and whatnot know that money is the lifeblood of their entire company, and without money, they are out of business. It's not me not wanting my fans to not see ads. It's me wanting to financially hurt the companies and record labels who are constantly screwing me over. So, I will tell my fans to install adblockers on any video that is claimed. This will hurt the stock price of the company in question, and if they lose enough of their money, people are gonna be mad at them. Do you know who will be mad at them? Their shareholders. They will have to sell their stocks at a significant loss, and then everyone in corporate loses. It would just be a lose/lose for everyone; the corps, the executives, the suits, and the shareholders. The companies who abuse copyright laws should not be rewarded for screwing people over constantly, on a daily basis. They should be punished, financially. So, we need to hit them where it hurts the most. Their wallets. That is the place where we should be aiming for.

Do you wanna know why piracy is still a thing in modern society? Because of companies and entities like HAAWK being overzealous with copyright. The viewer on YouTube gets a significantly and very worse, and outright, inferior experience to that of someone who pirates and downloads your YouTube video. A recent video from YouTuber Louis Rossmann I watched about them never going to pay for YouTube Premium ever again said it best: "Anytime you create a system where the pirate is rewarded yet the legitimate customer gets screwed, the legitimate customer decides that they are going to pirate and they are never going to give you money again". These record labels should know that screwing over creators is only going to screw themselves over in the longrun. More and more people will resort to piracy and will never buy money from the record label or claimant in question ever again.

The reason music piracy cut down, if not stopped completely, is because companies like the RIAA were forced to innovate their way out of the problem. Remember that whole "Piracy. It's A Crime." ad that you used to see all the time on your DVDs and maybe even some early Blu-Rays? All that it did was just treated piracy as if it was akin to breaking into a parked car, stealing someone's handbag or television, or straight-up shoplifting. The worst part is that the music that was used for this ad was actually pirated and illegally obtained. This ad did frankly absolutely nothing to stop the rate of file sharing, and so, companies were forced to innovate by selling their music for basically free ($0.99) on music platforms and making up lost revenue at live concerts. If these record labels like HAAWK want to stop piracy, then they need to stop attacking small creators like the vultures they are.

Companies like HAAWK need to be told and understood that piracy will continue if they continue to act like spoiled crybabies. And also, this constant attack of small creators will eventually cause HAAWK to lose their artists and talent, which will only further diminish their stock value in the stock market and only upset their shareholders even more. If it gets bad enough, the record label in question will be forced to liquidate all of their assets, and will then be forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which will put all of their employees at risk of being laid off (fired). If they do not want it to come down to this (HAAWK), then they need to treat creators with the due respect that they should be treated with.

In my school, we had a system for learning a little thing that we like to call "RESPECT". Each letter of the word meant a different thing. We called it "All About Respect". There were 7 different categories, those being 'Recognize', 'Empathy', 'Self-Monitor', 'Personal Space', 'Earn Trust', 'Cheer on Others', and 'Treat Everyone as Equal'. These are the rules of 'RESPECT' that we lived by during kindergarten, and they have stuck with me for many years and I have taken them to heart, because of the importance they hold in the here and now. I want to focus on the two most important ones in this case, earning trust and treating everyone as equal, because they are, in my opinion, the two ones with the most importance in a case such as this.

EARN TRUST - You need to earn the trust of others through your actions. If you treat others well, you will gain their trust and support. Right now, my support and trust with HAAWK is at an all-time low because of their hound-like behavior when it comes to copyright. They have hurt so many creators. It is truly a countless number at this point. Because so many people have been hurt and distraught by HAAWK's actions, there are so many content creators that do not trust them with their work, or music. I have ultimately refused to ever work with HAAWK due to what they have done to me, and countless others. Copyright owners are given access to these tools to use in case someone is blatantly stealing their work and claiming it as their own. But in this case, it is the claimant who is the one blatantly stealing work. And as a result, the perception and reputation of HAAWK is down the crapper. The only way that they will ever be able to rebuild trust with creators is if they stop needlessly hurting creators and attacking them relentlessly.

TREAT - Treat others the same way you want to be treated. If you want to be treated kindly by your peers, you must treat them kindly first. Respect is earned, not given. And HAAWK doesn't seem to understand this. I can say that HAAWK is pretty much the equivalent of the school bully. Do you know what the bully does? Picks on the weak who don't have the ability to fight back. They will demand lunch money from kids, knock down their backpack or other items, humiliate them in front of the whole school, and a whole host of other things. What HAAWK is doing right now is pretty much what a bully would do. They pick on small creators who do not have the legal means to fight back, or are too scared to. This gives HAAWK a very unfair advantage. They will claim videos when they clearly don't own the content, reject disputes, and also steal money from creators trying to make a living, especially the creators who are completely unable to make money on YouTube in the first place. This is straight-up cyberbullying in the form of abusing copyright. And what happens as a result? They are the ones getting picked on by the creators now, since they are having to resort to stealing money from the small creators to make a quick buck. And then they are humiliated on social media, just like how the bully humiliates the victim in front of the entire school. If you treat others poorly, you will be treated poorly as well. People are picking on HAAWK on all kinds of social media because of this, and well, HAAWK technically only has themselves to blame. If they do not want to be treated like this, then they should treat small creators like they are actually worth something instead of acting like complete menaces.

In short, HAAWK is just another one of those claimants trying to hurt the innocent. They just need to be shut down, entirely. Their entire business motto revolves around the abuse of the copyright and Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and YouTube should be equally held accountable as well for not doing anything at all to prevent this. They are just letting this company hurt creators, and so, they are equally responsible. Right now, YouTube is a living nightmare because of claimants such as this one, and they should be taking very drastic steps to balance out the copyright system and ensure that both creators and claimants are both treated fairly and both have an equal say. The current copyright system on YouTube is weighed in favor of the record labels and the claimants. A good way that YouTube could show that they are serious about dealing with this problem is by shutting down and stopping one of their biggest repeat offenders - HAAWK for a 3rd Party. It would finally put YouTube back in a good light, and more creators might even consider returning to the platform if they start to actually get serious about handling copyright-related issues and start actually punishing the claimants repeatedly abusing it.

In short, HAAWK is just... evil. They need to be shut down. Period.

There is one mission in Mirror's Edge Catalyst that I absolutely fucking hate even to this day. And if you have played the game and suffered through this mission yourself, then trust me, you know DAMN why. I truly have never wanted to throw my controller across the room in a fit of rage as much as I did when trying to complete this mission I am about to say the name of. I truly despise it with a burning passion. It is my least favorite mission of the game for VERY obvious reasons.

The mission is... drum roll... ah, who fucking cares, it's the goddamn "Tickets, Please" mission, the second to last main campaign mission. Whoever decided to make this fucking mission as broken and difficult as it is should be forced to play Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on the NES. This mission is the fucking WORST mission of the entire game, and is required to access The Shard, the final mission of the main campaign. In my opinion, The Shard is Mirror's Edge Catalyst at its best, so getting through that goddamn mission was worth it. And it was a fucking beautiful structure to parkour through, too.

I cannot explain in WORDS how much of a fucking nightmare this mission was to complete. It just ruins the entire flow of Mirror's Edge Catalyst. I can handle boring-ass filler missions like Scouting the Port from Grand Theft Auto 5, but not when they have broken and shitty physics like the one from this fucking mission. Like, literally. It is the most broken-ass mission of the entire game.

I had multiple problems even starting the mission in the first place. They fucking expected players to jump to the first control hub with only a small little edge of a roof as guidance. Guess what? Constantly missed the jump. Multiple times. Couldn't even get past the first part of the goddamn mission which should have been the easiest part! I literally felt like I was going fucking mad hearing the same goddamn dialogue over and over again! "Good, you're there! Good, you're there! Good, you're there! Good, you're there!" SHUT THE FUCK UP! Please, shut the fuck up! I am tired of hearing the same goddamn lines over and over!

And once I finally had the goddamn patience to finally understand how to get to the first control tower, I now had to deal with the dreaded platform. Which I constantly died to as well, go figure. So more hearing the goddamn "Good, you're there!" dialogue again until I got the fucking hang of it and could have the ability to fucking move on and be done with this shit. I actually got fed up hearing that opening dialogue over and over. Holy shit, I've heard it enough times! Let me move on! Let me play the fucking game!

I finally got the hang of it, beat the goddamn first control hub (finally), and finally could move on to the second one. But now, I now had to deal with the worst part of the entire mission (and game as well!) in my opinion; the horrible, awful, and worst thing(s) to ever disgrace this godforsaken game - THE MOVING PLATFORMS. Yes, the platforms in the second tower now moved on top of being small as hell. So, now, I had to figure out where the hell to stop the towers to be able to land on them and move upwards on the tower.

But, because they're 'moving platforms', they're 10x worse than the regular platforms from the first control tower. Holy shit, I died more goddamn times to these fucking moving platforms than I have died to anything else in the entire fucking game. The fact that the platforms moved only made me prone to falling off of them even more likely. I literally died 15 fucking times to the moving platforms on the second control hub. It was a fucking nightmare!

It didn't help that the game was kicking my ass with the broken and shitty physics and animation systems. The fucking moving platforms on the second control hub made up a lot of my deaths during the mission. When I say this mission ruins the flow of the game, I fucking mean it. Mirror's Edge Catalyst is supposed to be a fast-paced parkour game, but in this mission, you are literally fighting against the physics engine and doing a boring fucking task of hacking antennas connected to some sort of transit system in the City of Glass. Even if the mission didn't have these fucking issues, it would still be a useless filler mission with no purpose.

This second control hub nearly broke me to the fucking point with its stupid-ass moving platforms, and the game's shitty physics didn't help one bit. At one point, I did the most logical course of action - I gave up. Quite literally. I said "Fuck this," and quit playing. Was not far from rage quitting and throwing my controller across the room. But then, I took a breather, decided to give this goddamn "Tickets, Please" mission one more fucking shot even though I gave myself clear signs I should quit playing and try again later.

And when that didn't work, and the second control hub started doing the same shit again as last time, I actually gave up this time. Put the controller down, cooled down by watching some YouTube videos. It took my mind off of the frustration and rage that came from fucking with that goddamn mission over and over and it really calmed me down. Before I knew it, I was relieved and relaxed, just sitting back watching YouTube, not even caring to even bother to complete the mission as it was now completely out of my mind.

But then, I decided to give it one last shot. But I was sure as hell not going to fuck around with the shitty physics again, so I decided the best course of action would be to watch a walkthrough on the mission. Found a walkthrough within seconds of searching. It was labeled as Mission 18 according to this walkthrough, and decided that it was to be my last resort. If this walkthrough didn't work, I would be 100% done with Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and would completely uninstall the game at that point and never look back on it.

But before I watched the walkthrough, I made SURE to read all of the comments to see if people were just as pissed off with this mission as much as I was. And I was definitely not alone. So many other people were sick and tired of this stupid mission in the game. One of the comments said that it broke them to the point and caused them to next-level rage quit by throwing the game into the bin (trash can). Fucking insane that ONE shitty mission can result in a game being trashed.

And after I read all of the comments, I decided to watch the video, get the game booted up, and follow along with exactly what the person was doing in the video. I breezed and zoomed past the first control hub, and then came to my archnemesis up to that point, which was the second control hub. And by following along with the walkthrough video, I finally got past that fucking second control hub, and finally was able to move on to the third and last one of the mission.

I was not going to let this goddamn broken-ass mission get the better of me for the 16th time in a row, so I paid close attention to the video, and followed along, making sure to do exactly what the person in the video does, at the exact moments they do it. I fought the physics, and made sure not to screw even the smallest thing up. Even screwing the TINIEST thing up could set me back minutes, and at this point, I was NOT having it. I was sick and fucking tired of redoing this mission over and over again. I was going to put a fucking end to it. Finally put a fucking rest to it. Finally move on and finish the goddamn story. So, to me, it was now, or never. I was going to finish this mission and finish the campaign, or I was never going to touch the game again.

And then, with less than a minute to spare...I beat the last control hub, finally beating "Tickets, Please". I jumped with joy and relief, finally to be done with that nightmare. I flipped off the screen and said "FUCK YOU YOU GODDAMN PLATFORMS". I was just happy to finally be done with that goddamn mission. I sure as hell wasn't going to put up with its bullshit again. I had enough. I had to end it. And I finally did. It was a waste of time, it should not have taken that fucking long to finish.

Fuck. That. Mission. Like, seriously. I fucking hate "Tickets, Please" with a firery, and burning passion even to this day. That mission, if it made me angry enough, could have been my first ever rage quit. The whole fucking mission is full of shitty physics and small-ass platforms, and it just ruins the entire flow of the game. But, by God, I got through the bullshit, was able to play "The Shard", and finally beat the campaign. Put the game down because of that stupid "Tickets, Please" mission after I finally beat the campaign, and I haven't touched the game ever since.

Fuck you, "Tickets, Please". FUCK. YOU. I will never not despise you.

You can go to Hell for the goddamn pain and suffering you caused me.

I think it's safe to assume that Coyote vs. ACME is not going to have a public releasse. But guess what? That movie was killed for that dogshit adult animated Scooby-Doo series "Velma" getting a SECOND fucking season. Yeah, sure... let's keep the garbage that makes money and not the fucking creative shit that actually fucking innovates. Their stock value has taken a shit due to this as well. Like, I am fuckirg tired of this. Can we just fucking boycott Warner Bros. at this point? I am not gonna buy anything from a company that treats animation as horribly as it does, and I will sure as hell be avoiding the relaunch of MultiVersus at ALL costs. They can suck my goddamn testicles, they're not getting a fucking dime from me.

At this point, I might as well pirate their shit.

To get to the point, I’m currently working on a comic (maybe more a manga?) and I’ve just come to a grinding halt and can’t really find the motivation to continue the project…I feel like I work on the story constantly in my head and jot down notes but when it comes to thinking of how to bring my vision into the world, nothing feels adequate or satisfying. I’ve gone over it a bunch of times since the beginning: should I make it a manga? An animation? Should I just submit it to some studio to probably never see the light of day, and if it should; then not see a dime? Should I commission help? I’m too poor for that so, can’t do that. so I’ve just been hand drawing crappy panels in a storyboard-esque manner just to get the point across. Now, I’ve been out of touch with drawing for a long long time and idc what anyone says; it does NOT come to you like riding a bike. Usually when all of that starts going through my head I tell myself “look at how one punch man originally started” and it gets me through a page or two, but the past few days I just can’t find any real motivation to pick up my book and pencil….

I fall in and out of consciousness, basically. I wake up at random times and fall asleep at random times. I missed my therapy session because of this. I also cannot sit normally. I'm tired and cannot function. "Best" part my surgeon thought to reduce my sick leave from 2 weeks to 1, but thankfully a GP gave me 2. I just hope I actually recover. I still haven't called the hospital about a checkup, because it's far and I don't yet feel safe making the journey and cannot afford taking a taxi back and forth.

Today morning I woke up at 5 completely unable to focus my eyes, but also completely unable to fall back asleep. I've never experienced such a thing. My eyes would unzoom from any text I tried reading basically immediately.

The first few days I was super swollen with little pain, but since the swelling went down, it hurts. The wound healing looks the worst from all the wounds I've had, subjectively judged anyway. I fear I'll need another surgery. One part of the wound literally feels as if they implanted a small-ish completely hard ball under my skin. Yes, yes, I know, go for a checkup - I will once I literally can.

I just woke up after 19:00 and I don't even remember when I fell asleep. I guess I'm extra cranky about it, because it's super dark outside.

I don't feel like my life is in any danger at all and I feel super guilty unable to work, even though I don't believe I am capable of working in any form as is.

I just sat for ages trying to figure out how to finish this, but I just wanted to vent, so sending as is.

so, it turns out my sibling, after college, they became fearful for their (and our family's) life and started pressuring my family. They are controlling me, my grandmother, and my mom.

Recently, I've seen this manifest in their confrontations.

  1. They says something ridiculous (usually about leaving the door unlocked for 10 secconds; not looking behind enough; ).
  2. I prove them wrong;
  3. They gets mad and insist being right.
  4. I slowly get angered when they keeps insisting I'm wrong
  5. then I get uncomfortable and angered so I request to end the conversation and they refuse and insist on me "listening to them" (repeat, multiple times)
  6. I enforce my boundaries (usually when I get harassed).
  7. They harass and try to assult me (they broke the door in my room).

This happened in the past few months…

Well, my mom (a "mental health" therapist, ugh) is basically not doing a thing to fix their problems (anger management therapy); my mom instead just coddles them and blames me for starting them up, when they are pressuring me and our family. (Why am I surprised? Christian liberal-supporters who haven't read the bible, get mad when their children curse (but nor anyone else), and overstock on food; turn out to be garbarge parents and enablers…)

My aunt went on about how "I need to bond with my family and work together" (which really just means "do as they say").

Grandmother cant do a thing about it; because she's weak.

Also, I'm thinking about signing out for good; if I keep posting; I might actually dox myself.

I'm confessing this now, so I can still maintain my accountability (and not become a piece of shit).

I found porn (firstly face sitting and then wetting) when I was 13; I wish I didn't. I was trying (and unsurprisingly failed) to 'get' a girlfriend. (Retrospect, Big mistake was thinking to 'get' one as if they are objects to obtain like game rewards; I learnt that lesson, lol.)

I still watch it 5 years later… that was a mistake (albeit unconcious, but still my fault) as I am aware of what porn addicts become if they don't stop.

I heard that porn was bad through yourbrainonporn, but some of studies had low sample sizes and subjective measures for testing that I jumped to the conclusion that porn wasn't harmful.

Well, I'm realizing that lacking a source doesn't automatically invalidate someone; and that the harm done is through spreading misogynist ideology.

Of course, (usonian) capitalism is part of the problem. The people are heavily isolated by car-centric transportation, isolated through work, the capitalist state (police and psychiatry), etc. Unsurprisingly, as long as those systems exists, I'm likely going to struggle worse with fighting porn addiction; as I have no consistent acquaintances.

I would have told my parents when this first started; but I feared getting abused (this is the reactionary U.S we're talking about).

I wish I was born in the USSR, where they banned porn. It would have been great to never deal with that.

My reasoning was that it would "help my microbiome". I'm so stupid; I'm too impulsive. The piece I had was light colored and it was as wide as a fork.

My mouth is dry and I'm peeing clear pee when I didn't have much water, so I think I have food poisoning.

I'm pissed that my mom is just trying to shrug off my worries. It has been 2 hours since I had that piece.

I'm going to fucking hate my life after this. Hope I don't die.

I had been falsely permanently suspended from Reddit, and not just on my account, but also on all of my sister’s accounts. All of them. They suspended each and every single one of them. I had since deleted my account and decided to make homes on Lemmy and SaidIt. I will explain everything that led up to this point, because quite frankly, this might be the stupidest suspension ever. I am very unhappy with how Reddit handled the situation. Like, very unhappy.

Reddit handled this situation very poorly. Quite frankly, their handling of it was the worst I have ever seen from Reddit. Basically, this nonsense all started because of a certain stalker on Reddit. Destrucity was their name. They were the most butthurt snowflake on all of Reddit. They had been constantly harassing and even stalking me on every single post I created. They kept telling me that dyscalculia, a very much real learning disability, wasn’t real and was fake. The thing is, no matter how many times they got suspended from Reddit, they would make more alt accounts and do the same thing again. They were the worst of the worst. They kept trying to convince me it was fake and I constantly attempted to shut them up, but to no avail as they continued to make more accounts and go right back to harassing me.

The thing is, after the user got butthurt by me for the first time, they reported me to Reddit. Sooner or later, I got hit with a 3-day suspension. They clearly were just butthurt and so, they reported me and I got suspended. Keep in mind this is only the one of two suspensions I had recieved because of them in particular. Destrucity could not be stopped. The user also would have been able to make another account anyway. The thing is, Reddit doesn’t judge fairly. If you are reported, you will probably get a suspension from the site, and for no reason, might I add.

Immediately after I was unsuspended I started to get pissed off with my stalker and plastered them all over Reddit, because they were the most pathetic user I have ever seen on the entire site. I posted everywhere I could to get some form of help, but either barely anyone were willing to help me, or I would just get silenced as enforced by the ‘politically correct’ agenda on Reddit. Finally, some users were able to give me some form of advice, and I got backed up by people who were on my side. For the first time on Reddit, I actually felt like people actually cared about me as a person, which is a very rare sight to see on Reddit.

To no surprise, Destrucity continued their endless harassment and bullying, and eventually, I snapped. I chatted with them and called them ‘pathetic’, because continually making new accounts to harass and stalk a specific user is pathetic. Yet they’re unwilling to accept it because they have absolutely no life outside of Reddit. Once again, the user got butthurt because I called them ‘pathetic’, and once again reported me to Reddit. This time, I did not get a 3-day suspension, I got a 7-day suspension instead. A 7-day suspension for having an appropriate emotional response to someone else’s BS. I even explained it to Reddit, and they wouldn’t even care, because come the next day, Reddit did the unthinkable.

After I woke up, that being today, I had noticed that Reddit had changed their minds and updated my suspension. No, it was not 3-days, 7-days, a month, or even a year. It was a permanent suspension from Reddit for ‘ban evasion’. You know, that right there is BS. And also, they suspended all other accounts that had some tie to it. I got multiple emails from Reddit stating I was suspended. This was an absolute overkill decision from Reddit to permanently suspend me from the entire site over something I did not do. I have never, ever evaded a ban on Reddit, so their blatantly false accusation about me evading my ban was a big bundle of crap. And it all started because a neckbeard keyboard warrior on Reddit was being a dick. And I didn’t even get to be on Reddit for even a year before I got suspended.

I tried to send off an appeal, but I knew it would not be accepted and I would get the usual denied message. So, that was it. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I decided that enough was enough and I was no longer going to use Reddit because of this overkill and very unjust decision they pulled out of their asses. I frankly deleted my account because of Reddit’s false accusation which resulted in me getting suspended. I even told them in the message that they would never see me again. It felt so good to finally break out of Reddit’s grasp. It honestly felt like breaking up and getting out of a bad relationship. As such, I decided to make a Lemmy account. Reddit is history to me and I won’t be making another account to feed their hive mind echo chamber. They lost a valuable user today and they won’t be getting it back.

This is a sign we need to stop using Silicon Valley tech. The big tech giants are controlling of everything and if you say or do something that does not meet their ‘politically correct’ agenda, expect to be banned from the site. The only thing Silicon Valley giants care about are control and money. We need to start migrating to decentralized sites like this one, whose goal is clear: to allow anyone to speak freely without oppression. Reddit is not how it used to be. Over the past 3 years, Reddit has gotten worse and worse. The thing I am saying is: let those sites become the hive mind echo chamber they were designed to be. Let them die. Just move your stuff over to decentralized sites. Like, leave YouTube and switch to Odysee. Leave Twitter and switch to Mastodon. And especially, leave the hive mind echo chamber we call Reddit and switch to Lemmy or SaidIt. If it wasn’t clear enough, Reddit, YouTube, Twitter, and others don’t care about you. Leave the sites and switch to more decentralized alternatives. We can only defeat Big Tech giants if we let them rot as their little echo chambers. That is the only true way we can win.

RULES (lemmy.ml)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 1 week ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Rules:

  1. Swearing is allowed, but NO racial slurs. Racial slurs like the N-word are strictly forbidden in this community.

  2. Please don’t type things as a big wall of text. If you have a long post, please separate your post using paragraph breaks. If it is a relatively short post, then this rule will not apply to it. The rule only applies to extra long posts. The only time this doesn't apply is if you are EXTREMELY pissed off. But, if it is just a regular rant/vent, please put your rant in paragraph breaks.

  3. Do not attempt witch hunts on any user. Even if it is Reddit, do not do it. Witch hunts are when you track down a specific person or mod. This is very looked down upon and any post that attempts to start a witch hunt will be removed. The rule also applies to comments on an OP’s post. If your comment contains anything that is attempting to start a witch hunt on any user, then it will be removed. The only time this rule will not apply is if you are posting a rant about getting your Reddit account suspended. We will also actively check to make sure our mods aren’t attempting to start any sort of witch hunts.

  4. Please don’t harass any of our members. This especially applies to us mods. If you are seen harassing the mods, you will be banned.

  5. Do not make obvious bait or troll posts. Troll or bait posts are like clickbait on YouTube. It is seen as looked down upon, and as such, troll and bait posts that we find on this community will also be considered clickbait, and will be removed.

  6. Do not infringe on someone’s free speech. This isn’t Reddit, a place that is controlled by an echo chamber. People have the right to vent about something that they don’t like. If you infringe on another user’s free speech in this community, you will be banned.

  7. Please refrain from spamming this community with your posts. At least post 2 things every 2 hours or so to keep the community clean and fresh with new posts.

  8. People under the age of 13 are not allowed to participate for their safety.

  9. Don’t argue with the moderators. The mods have the absolute final say. If you do not agree with a decision a mod has made, please contact me directly instead. I will look over these rulings and see if they are valid or not. Arguing with the mods constantly may result in you getting temporarily banned from the community. We are only doing this to give mods an easier time, especially if they are currently going through a very difficult time in their lives.

  10. Do not brigade this community, or any other on Lemmy. Brigades can put our community in serious jeopardy. If you are caught starting a brigade, you’re gone.

  11. Absolutely no NSFW or gore. This rule especially applies to CP. If you post CP, it doesn’t matter what kind of excuse you give, you will be immediately and swiftly banned.

  12. Do not post links to a 'rant' that turns out to be malware or a virus. If you're even thinking about attempting to do this, don't post at all. If you do share an offsite rant that turns out to be a virus, you will be banned from the community. If you were unaware of this, please contact me directly so I can reverse the ban. If you say you didn't know and post another one that leads to a virus, you will not only be banned from the community, but you also will absolutely, 100% have absolutely no chance of your appeal being accepted again.

  13. Do not talk about this numb- jkjk, just wanted to make sure you were still reading.

  14. Threatening violence or harm on someone will not be tolerated in this community. “KYS” and a lot of other threats are highly prohibited in our community. We are a welcoming community and we will not have our reputation put at risk because of this. If you are caught doing this, you’re getting banned.

  15. Do not spread any misinformation about any illness, learning disability, etc.

  16. Do not ask to become a mod. If I open mod applications, then you will know. Do not beg for me to give you mod, either.

  17. We are accepting of anyone who is LGBTQ - so be respectful to them!

  18. Revealing personal info of any is absolutely not permitted in this community, and you will get a 1-way ticket to Bansland.

  19. Impersonation of any user on this community, or on Lemmy as a whole, is strictly forbidden. If you impersonate anyone here, or on the whole of Lemmy, you will be swiftly banned from the community.

  20. Your usernames must be appropriate and not contain any offensive language.

  21. Do not abuse moderation powers. These mod powers are meant to be used very seriously in case a Lemmy user is breaking our community’s rules. Abusing your moderation powers to silence someone or exclude a Lemmy user entirely for no good reason is absolutely not allowed. Our community is supposed to be a welcoming one, and abusing your mod powers makes them feel like our community is not the welcoming community they were promised. As such, if you are caught abusing your powers as a moderator, you will be revoked of your moderation powers. If you agree to not abuse them again, I will grant you back your mod privileges. If you abuse them a second time, you will not only be demoted, but also permabanned to keep our community safe, civil, and welcoming. If you are a user and you catch one of our mods abusing their power, or if you got unjustly banned by a moderator abusing their power, please contact me directly and I will look into it and come to a final decision and determine if the mod was abusing their power.
