♦ Rules ♦

1. Stay Civil

This is a place for friendly discussion, memes, guides, art, gameplay questions, screenshots and the like. Discrimination and harrassment won't be tolerated.

2. Mark Spoilers

It is okay to post about "related games" (such as Age of Calamity and Breath of the Wild) but please use the spoiler "censor" and do not put spoilers directly into the title, as the censor doesn't work this way. Posts about other Zelda games might be suited better in general Zelda communities, like the ones listed at the bottom of the sidebar.

3. Offtopic Posts

Anything not related to BotW, like politics, religion, non-Zelda games etc. is better suited elsewhere and will be removed. The same goes for NSFW material.

4. No Advertisements

It is okay to post about merchandise, but links to those "design your own merch" sites will be removed, as those are almost always scams featuring stolen art. Affliate links will be removed as well. This isn't Etsy.

5. Provide Sources

If you're going to post art, comics, guides, screenshots etc. that are not your own OC, please mention the name of the original creator and ideally also a link to their portfolio/website. (Pinterest is almost never the original source)

6. Suggestions are Welcome!

Feedback, requests for improvements and constructive criticism are always appreciated ;)

Posted as text due to thumbnail spoilers for endgame.

Side note: Do Not Press R.

So I recently started playing ToTK, having finished BotW some time ago.

Playing through, all is well until I find myself in the Depths and having to return.

Selecting shrines or towers on the map gives no option to warp to them whatsoever.

Have I managed to softlock myself out of teleporting?

A few things in this one I hadn't seen yet. Spoilers (marked) for endgame at the end of the vid.

TotK speedrunner Player 5 goes over the differences in game versions in terms of glitch accessibility and usefulness. Kind of dry, but informative.

(If Monster Maze sounds familiar, it's because it's the same channel that did the excellent Bokoblin documentary.)

And the modifier even saves through breaking/recharging. There are hoops to jump through, but IMO this seems much more practical than some of the other 1.2.1 glitches.

At least the ones on the Surface. I am not sure whether such a map also exists for the Depths, but once you found a "Surface" Hideout, you'll also know where the others are.

(one of these is not like the others)

I can't help it but the Boss Bokos always remind me of pugs. Coincidence?

The only thing you have to do is form a cluster out of ALL plushies during the minigame once, and then save it in Autobuild.

The next time you play the game, just select the cluster, let the purple zone collect the plushies for you, hold the plushies over the cart, and exit the menu without actually "building" the cluster again. The loose plushies will fall into the cart.

That way, you won't have to "ultrahand" them together every single time and/or drag single plushies to the cart.

Completionnaire's Disease is a bitch.

Croton breaks down the damage and modifiers of the Sages' attacks and abilities. I typically play with the Sages off unless I need a specific ability, but it was interesting seeing the numbers.

spoiler

So, if I decide to go and beat Ganon early to unlock the completion tracker, the game resets back before the fight after credits roll. So does that mean I can do the the rest of the main story also (phenomena and so on), or do I get locked out?

I need one of these. To glue onto my car tire.

There are some story spoilers, as this glitch leverages a late-game plot fight.

Gonna preface this with saying that this is going to be more informational than practical for most people. Just too many restrictions. But the hope is that this leads to further discoveries. As it stands, the save file needs to have completed the regional phenomena but not turned them in to Purah yet. And once the glitch is active, the save cannot progress past beating the story Phantom Ganon fight. Which kind of kills the buzz IMO. Even so, it continues to boggle my mind how people find this stuff.

Admittedly, I don't follow any TotK content aside from here and on YT. Discord isn't my cup of tea, and Reddit lost me this past summer. So a lot of these tidbits might be old news. But I do love Kleric's style.

This comic contains a pretty big story spoiler, so only read it if you either don't care for spoilers or you collected all dragon tears already.

Translation by me. I used google translate and then rewrote the translation so it didn't sound as super awkward as the literal word-for-word translation.

All techniques credited within the video. This may be old news for the folks that keep up with Discord, but I found Suishi's overview and step by step pretty informative. I'm often blown away by the fact that stuff like this gets discovered at all, because the steps are so specific.

For those who might not yet know: if you feed a dog enough times (meat, poultry, fruit, they aren't exactly picky) they will lead you to a buried treasure chest. This works once per dog, and the chests literally do not exist before the dog decides to show you the way, so making a furry litlle friend is the only way to get these treasures.

This has already been in Breath of the Wild by the way. ;)

A lot of the in-game books can be translated, but most of them have the placeholder/filler text about April Fool's Day. Mattison's diary however has both Hylian Script and Gerudo Letters, which isn't surpising with parents like these, and a unique message not found in any other in-game books.

For explanation: Patricia is Riju's personal Sand Seal, and that beast even has its own Hyrule Compendium entry. It is likely that her mom taught her much about Gerudo Town and its inhabitants to prepare Mattison for her journey there.
