It starts a little slow as Boromir makes his journey, but things pick up later as more people start moving around.

If nothing else, I learned a ton about what was actually going on.

Kind of crazy how much Gandalf moves around throughout the whole thing. Eru really should have given him wings.

So I've seen a few of them, I have this strange thing for LotR reaction vids for some reason. And Schindler's List reactions too, but let's not get into that. Anyways though, this is the best.

A lot of them are faked imo, most of the others know a little bit going in. And they're exaggerating for the camera.

Now I don't know where these guys came from, but their reactions are genuine and enjoyable. It's also fun to see how the appreciation of the film crosses cultures, they pick out and focus on different things than westerners would. And they're not completely ignorant of conventions or anything, India is the home of Bollywood, these folks understand films. They've never seen this one though...

Hello! I am interested in getting a new reading set for LotR and Hobbit. My current set is shown in the initial welcome post of this community and I'm hesitant to read them again since they are fragile. What do you all suggest and why?

A surprise gift from the wife this year. Should it live outside or inside the box? Sorry about photo orientation, may be a Lemmy bug.

I feel like everyone has a special memory of how they first learned about Lord of the Rings. For me it was right around when the first movie came out. I watched it non-stop with my sisters friend’s elder sister. Anytime my sister would go over to play I’d be watching. I ultimately got the books but it was a huge undertaking for my age and never actually read it for an embarrassing long time. I did memorize the dwarvish rune alphabet in the appendix of my copy. Drove my teachers nuts writing with it.

Just moved over from Lemmy.ml and hope that this community will grow like the initial one did during the early days of Reddit migration. Pictured here is the book set that has been in my family for two generations. Feel free to share your old set as well if you have them. Also, feel free to message me if you are interested in helping to moderate.
