Ayzee (off-panel, interrupting): What? No! It's all my fault!
(Milan stops and looks to her side)

Ayzee (turning and throwing her hands up in frustration): I should be the one apologizing! Aargh!

Ayzee: Look, I ruined your life!
Ayzee: All just because I wanted to impress my parents!

Milan (straight-faced): It's just a curse. Chill.

Milan (questioning): Also, how's that your fault?

(Ayzee is looking at Milan in puzzlement)
Milan: I was the one who decided to use the pain sharing spell.

Panel 5
(Milan is leaning back with an accomplished expression)
Milan: If anything...
            Your decision to fight Grom actually saved Enna in the end, ya know?

Ayzee (beginning to argue): Look, I still think-

Milan (interrupting, with a slightly impatient look): Ayzee, we can talk about this anytime you'd like.
Milan: But now...

Milan (leaning in, satisfied): I'm just glad we are still here, still with each other.

Panel 5
(Ayzee is looking admiringly at Milan)
Milan (off-panel): That's the important part.

Panel 6
Ayzee (wiping a tear from her eye): Um, so...
            Now that the curse is under your control, do you think-

(Milan is startled)
Ayzee (off-panel, continuing): ...it's safe for us to kiss?

Milan (blushing in embarassment, with her hand over her mouth): Hehehehe- I guess?

(Ayzee has a blank look on her face)
Milan: Grom's power might still affect you in some ways, though.

Milan (taking a deep breath): So let's take it slow-

(Ayzee shoves her face into Milan's, interrupting her)

(Milan and Ayzee relax, kissing each other, holding each other's arms as the sun rises behind them)

(Close in on just the girls' faces as they kiss. Their eyes are softly closed)

Black Voice (V.O.): Surprise, surprise.

(Enna recoils in fear, scooting backwards)
Milan (off-panel): No, don't be scared.

(Milan gets down on one knee to be on the level with Enna. She holds out one hand with an calming expression on her face)
Milan: Let me check your vitals.

Panel 4
(Close-up on Milan's hand holding Enna's wrist. Milan's other hand attempts to draw a spell circle, but it is wavering and incomplete)
Milan: ?

Panel 5
(Close-up on Milan's midsection, as she holds her hand up near the gem on her chest, which is black)
Milan: Oh... right.

Panel 6
(Milan reaches out and holds her fingers directly on Enna's wrist, concentrating with her eyes closed)
Milan: Well. Your pulse is normal, at least.

(Enna smiles shyly at Milan)
Milan: You need a thorough check-up, though.
Enna: Th- Thank you.

(An abomination holds Enna up, walking beside her with its arm around her waist. Amity is beside them, controlling the abomination with a spell circle)
Amity (looking back at a satisfied Milan): I'll take it from here.

Panel 3
(Milan gets a worried expression on her face)
Amity (off-panel): You need to go to the hospital too, Milan.

Panel 4
Milan (nervously brushing it off): Pfft, nah. I feel fine.

Panel 5
(The principal reaches out and claps Milan on the shoulder with satisfaction. Milan looks at the hand in alarm)
Principal: Good job, kid! You really saved us all back there-

(The principal recoils in horror and screams as a dark shape rises up from Milan's hair. It bears a strong resemblance to an older Viney, and is shaking its fist and yelling. Milan looks up, mortified)
Fear-Shadow: I'll sue!!!

Panel 2
Milan (resigned, as her hair lowers back to its usual place): Yeah. I guess I'll go.

Panel 3
(Ayzee looks on as Amity is walking away, controlling abominations that are helping Enna and Milan up to the ramp out of the arena. Various students are peering over the edge)

Panel 4
(Ayzee is stunned, standing motionless in the arena. Luz is next to her, looking concerned, while talking on a crow-phone)
Luz: Hey, um... Viney?
            Don't freak out, your daughter is okay.

Panel 5
(Close in on Ayzee's face. She is still frozen with wide open eyes)
Luz (off-panel): But there's this curse...

(Milan sits in a room, sipping yellow elixir out of a bottle through a straw)

Milan (with a disgusted face, as the bottle is nearly empty): Ughh-

(Through a window, we can see Enna sitting in a bed. She is smiling and holding a bottle of elixir in one hand. The other is stretched out towards a doctor standing next to her, who is casting a spell circle on it. Milan is looking through the window, with someone standing next to her)
Luz: She seems to be getting better.

Milan: Hope we'll be able to cure her completely.

(Milan freezes in alarm)
Viney: You sound like you aren't sharing half of the curse.

(Milan stand between an adult Skara and an adult Viney, with a sheepish smile on her face. Skara is smiling over at her while Viney has a deadpan expression)
Viney: Remind me to talk to you about self-care later.

(Skara leans in while Milan looks over towards her)
Skara: What Mum really wanted to say was...
            We understand why you did what you did,

Panel 5
Skara (warmly): But it's difficult to not be upset when we see you get hurt.
            Please give us some time to process it, okay?

(Milan nods with a reassured look on her face)

Viney: Honestly, as a healer, I'm really proud of you.

(Viney's face turns gruff. Milan is startled)
Viney: As a mum though...
            Oh you are in so much trouble.

(Viney pauses and looks to her other side with interest)

(Milan looks nervously)
Viney (off-panel): Ayzee?

Ayzee (abashed): Can we talk?

(Bump, Mr. Ironguts, and a random student are looking in astonishment at a bright light glowing at the edge of the frame)

(The forms of Milan and a young girl are floating in the air in the middle of the arena, surrounded by a bright light)

(Closer in on Milan, who just has a halo of light around her)

(Milan is planted flat faced on the floor, with her legs up)

Milan: Ugh, I think I'm gonna puke.

(Milan's eyes open wide)

Ayzee (worried, continuing): Are you alri-

(Milan holds up a hand, palm out, agitated)
Milan: Stop!
Milan: Don't touch me!

(Ayzee freezes, horrified)

Milan: No, no! I mean-

Milan (sheepishly): I got half of the Grom curse from her, so...
            If you touch me, I'll turn into your greatest fear.

Ayzee (timidly): Oh.

Ayzee (rubbing her forehead in confusion): Wait, hang on.
            I don't follow.

Panel 5
Ayzee (perplexed): Who's "her"?

(Milan and Ayzee turn to look wide-eyed as a voice speaks from off-panel)
Voice: Enna.

(A young girl, around Ayzee/Milan's age, sits on the ground. She is wearing a loose grey dress. Her skin is pale and she has bags under her eyes. A circular symbol is drawn on one of her arms. Her hair has amorphous tendrils floating from it)
Enna: My name is Enna.

Enna: Wait, what year is it?
Milan (sheepishly): I... don't think we use the same calendar.

Milan (concerned): And, Enna?

(Enna looks down sadly, eyes closed)
Milan (off-panel): You... cursed yourself, didn't ya?

(A normal looking Enna is outside, holding an armful of scrolls, with a panicked look on her face. Her hair is straight. There are shadows cast on the wall near her of people with swords attacking other people)
Enna (V.O.): Back then, I was an assistant historian.

(Enna holds up one scoll with an anxious look on her face)
Enna (V.O.): When the pirates arrived,

(Close-up on the scoll. It has a seal on it that looks like Grom, with tendrils and glowing blue dots for eyes)
Enna (V.O.): I happened to hold on to a mysterious curse.

(A large form of Grom, with several glowing eyes and tendrils, is lashing out as many people run away from it, dropping swords. There is a person-shaped figure at the top)
Enna (V.O.): I saved the town...

(Enna looks like a young girl again, except her eyes and mouth are glowing blue, and her hair is waving around. We can see the circular symbol on her arm at the edge of her sleeve. People are recoiling from her in fear)
Enna (V.O.): At the cost of being feared forever.

(Enna, holding a bottle of yellow elixir, is running away outside of a town. She is looking back at a mob of people carrying torches at the edge of town)
Enna (V.O.): I was driven away by my own people,
Enna (V.O.): And forced to hide inside an abandoned mine.

(Enna is sitting on the ground, crying, leaning back against a mine cart on rails. Several empty bottles with traces of elixir lie around her)
Enna (V.O.): Once in a while, I tried to slip into town to steal elixirs.

(Enna is in her Grom form, looking like a large pile of black goo with several glowing blue eye spots)
Enna (V.O.): I... even subconsciously did so after being taken over.

(Back in the arena, Enna is hugging herself and sobbing)
Enna: I'm sorry.
Enna: I- I didn't mean to bring fear to everyone.

(Milan, Luz, Amity, and Ayzee stand around looking worriedly at each other)

(Milan puts the thumb and forefinger of her other hand into her mouth and whistles strongly. Waves of red magic emenate in rings from her mouth)

(The waves of red magic are pushing Grom's face backwards. We see just Milan's feet as she is standing at the edge of the frame)

(Milan stands right next to Grom's face, with a stern look. She is holding the glyph cards in one hand, while the other is near her mouth. Ayzee is at the edge of the frame calling to her)
Ayzee: It's your chance!

(Ayzee is standing on the pillar, her feet trapped in Grom goo, holding a tendril with one hand as she shouts anxiously)
Ayzee: Do it now!

Ayzee holds up an ice glyph card, with a nearby tendril enclosed in a chunk of ice and another with a plant wrapped around it)

(Milan kicks up and knocks away a tendril, while Ayzee throws a fire glyph at another tentril, setting it aflame)
