I can't help myself, Brando gets my dark horse vote. I love when the nerds out-strategize the challenge beasts. Who are you liking from the cast? Who is your early picks to go far?

I just saw the episode with Na Onka/Purple Kelly quitting Nicaragua and Jeff was sooo mean, I loved it! He is such a friendly dude on the newer seasons with a respectful ear to anyone's woes... but not back in the day. You could see the open disdain on his face to have people quit. Which is your favorite quit?

Survivor’: Most Immunity Wins in a Single Season by John Benutty, Misty Holland, Marcus James Dixon July 19, 2023 9:04AM

Over the course of its 44 seasons, “Survivor” has hosted hundreds of immunity challenges where individual players could win the opportunity to save themselves from elimination at tribal council. Since 2000 when the reality TV show began, 15 different contestants have won at least four immunity challenges. However, five of those castaways prevailed five times, a record that has never been broken. In our “Survivor” gallery below, we spotlight those with the most immunity wins in a single season.

Despite four others winning just as many as he did, Colby Donaldson from Season 2 has bragging rights as not only the first player to win five times, but also the only one to do so consecutively. Like Kelly Wiglesworth before him, Colby played the game at a point in time where challenge wins were not held as in high regard as they were later, leaving him in runner-up position to a more social game-focused player in the final vote. The others in Colby’s company with five wins are winner Tom Westman (Season 10), runner-up Ozzy Lusth (Season 13), winner Mike Holloway (Season 30), and runner-up Brad Culpepper (Season 34).

Not only was Kelly (Season 1) the first player to get as many as four wins, she is also the only female to get that many wins consecutively. The only other women to reach that total are winner Jenna Morasca (Season 6), winner Kim Spradlin (Season 24), and runner-up Chrissy Hofbeck (Season 35).

Standing alone as the only player to make the list twice is “Boston Rob” Mariano, who took home four individual wins in both his second time playing (Season 8) where he finished as runner-up and his third playing (Season 22) where he finally won.

The only players to earn four challenge wins without making it to the final tribal council are Joe Anglim (Season 31) who got four consecutively at the start of the merge and Rick Devens (Season 38) who got his final win at top five and then lost the top four fire-making challenge just before the final tribal.

Rounding out the 15 names on our list are winner Fabio Birza (Season 21), runner-up Ken McNickle (Season 33), and winner Tony Vlachos (Season 40), each with four challenge wins.

Survivor: Castaway Island Makes The Leap From TV Show To Switch Game This October by Jim Norman

The ratings for Survivor today might not be anything like what they were back in the early 2000s, but that hasn't stopped publisher Microids from getting in on Survivor: Castaway Island — a game based on the once-popular TV show that will be coming to Switch on 3rd October.

Developed by Magic Pockets, Castaway Survivor takes on the same format as the show. You will play as one of 12 contestants, competing in a series of wilderness challenges and befriending campmates to maintain popularity and avoid being voted off. We haven't seen all that much of the game itself so far, but we're imagining that it will consist of a series of minigame-style challenges interjected by some text-based social drama.

While there is not much to see, Microids has shared the following information and limited screenshots about what we can expect from Survivor: Castaway Island:

In Survivor: Castaway Island, be prepared to experience the ultimate test of survival! As you navigate the treacherous landscape, you'll need to rely on your survival instinct and strategy to remain in the competition. Every decision you make will be crucial to your fate. Are you cunning, strategic, and ruthless enough to outwit, outplay and outlast your opponents?

During your adventure, look for resources and form alliances with other castaways to survive, but remember that trust is hard to come by in the game of Survivor. Choose your allies wisely and watch your back for betrayals. In team or individual challenges, push yourself to the limit to avoid being voted off the island.

One wrong move, and the adventure ends. Your survival is at stake, and only the strongest will make it to the end. Do you have what it takes to be the last one standing and become the sole Survivor?

We understand that more information about the game is to come soon, so keep an eye out over the coming months before its release later this year.

Survivor Got A Shock Emmy Nomination, And Many Have The Same Theory About Why By Mack Rawden

There was perhaps no bigger shock in yesterday’s Emmy nominations than in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category where Survivor earned a nod for the first time in seventeen years. Now and again you might see a long-running show miss for a year and then bounce back the next, but in general, if awards voters decide you’re not one of the cool kids anymore, it takes an act of God to get you back in their good graces. In this case, however, it seems like it was an act of Carolyn.

That’s right. Survivor picked up its first major Emmy nomination in almost two decades, and many fans and critics are pointing toward the Tika 3 as the primary reason for it and specifically, Carolyn. The show has always done a good job of casting likable personalities and interesting characters, but Season 44 gave us maybe the most positive, quirky and hopeful cast in the history of the show. That group was led by the so-called Tika 3 of Carolyn Wiger, Carson Garrett and Yam Yam Arocho. The trio of eccentrics formed a close bond and worked together to all make deep runs and in doing so, captured the hearts of many fans who rooted them on.

After news of Survivor’s Emmy nomination, many of those involved in the show took to social media to celebrate. Host Jeff Probst hit up his Instagram stories and shared a graphic celebrating the nod. Many former players also got in on the celebration including all three members of the Tika 3, and of course, Survivor fans were happy to see the show recognized too.

The recurring theme in a lot of these posts was pointing to the Tika 3 and Carolyn as the reason the perception of the show elevated last season. Carson specifically said the show can thank Carolyn for the nomination. Numerous fans agreed and dropped their own tweets, and even some critics published stories theorizing that the cast was the reason the show is getting so much more positive recognition right now. I agree...

I was gonna post this new Screen Rant article about why Survivor stayed in Fiji for the last few years. It's not a great article but I'll link it below if you want to read it. It got me thinking though, Fiji is beautiful but I kinda miss some of the uglier, harsher environments.

Remember Yucatán, when they were so hot but couldn't go in the river because of gators? The rats and snakes from Borneo? Everyone getting sun scorched in Africa? I always enjoyed the harsh environments and seeing the Survivors adapt. My question to you: if you could pick where the next Survivor was played where would it be and why?

Survivor season 45 release updates and everything we know so far

by Sandy C. 11 hours ago

Nothing makes us crave adventure (from the comfort of our own home, of course) more than the summer season. Needless to say, we are all highly anticipating the release of Survivor season 45, but is it coming this summer or later on in the year? Here’s everything we know about the upcoming season so far.

Can you believe Survivor on CBS has been around for 45 seasons? It is one of the most popular and most-watch reality competition show to this day! And what a milestone season this is going to be. We’re all very excited here at Hidden Remote. On that note, we have put together all of the details you need to know so you don’t miss a single update.

No other competition series gets us pumped for adventure more than Survivor does. Without having to leave the house, we explore places all over the world, learn something new, and have multiple teams to cheer on. And with 44 seasons under its belt and one more to come, Survivor is showing no signs of slowing down.

Will there be a Survivor season 45?

Yes! CBS has already renewed the competition series for another season. One of the reasons I believe Survivor has survived as long as it has, is thanks to the production crew. Not only have they kept everyone safe, but they also took excellent safety measures when the pandemic hit. The show is expected to continue following strict COVID-19 guidelines this coming season. Better safe than sorry!

Is there a Survivor season 45 release date yet?

Unfortunately, no. A release date for Survivor season 45 is not known. Looking at the release dates for previous seasons, however, does give us a pretty good idea about when to expect the new episodes to come — and that is Fall 2023! Of course, as soon as we learn an official date (or any other updates), we’ll update this post.

Survivor season 45 cast

The upcoming season is set to feature 18 individuals. GoldDerby reports that Bruce Perreault will return. Bruce had to leave during the beginning of Survivor 44 after suffering a head injury. Other than Bruce, we’re not sure who the 17 remaining contestants are. We should learn the full cast closer to the season 45 release date.

How many episodes are in Survivor season 45?

The episode count for Survivor is not known, either. But let’s look at previous seasons. The most episodes a season has featured, is 17 episodes. This is for season 8, After 17, the episode count of 16 seems to be the most common. However, the last four seasons (season 41, 42, 43, and 44) have all included 13 episodes. Do you think the upcoming season will do the same? We’ll keep you posted!

Why is Survivor not streaming on Netflix?

Survivor is not a Netflix property, so you won’t find it there! To watch every past season of the show (including season 44), go to Paramount+. New episodes of season 45 will also become available to stream the next day on Paramount+. Now, Hulu also does have Survivor on their service, but not all seasons are available. Season 44, for example, is not there.

We should start this community off the right way, with the man we all think of when we hear that conch shell blow and the helicopter shot drops us onto the island.
