Whether you're fighting for the favourite day of the weekend, or you're fighting for the best filling, you can now choose your #Splatfest team and gather conch shells for it!

Remember that the Splatfest starts next Saturday at 12am GMT.

Regarding previous two boosts: the Pixel 6 Pro is officially here. I'm typing from it right now. I initially thought it would be coming on Monday but it came today around 10:40am. Unfortunately I wasn't able to set it up initially but I've managed to mostly set it up now. Still a lot more I have to set up though! News posting is now resumed on both accounts.

News / Tournaments: Splatoon 3 World Championships rescheduled

Sorry for reporting this late, it's getting harder and harder to report on news given the fact that the accounts I follow in Squawker are no longer showing up in the feed so I have to click on them individually.

The Splatoon 3 World Championship 2024 and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship 2024 which were originally scheduled for Nintendo Live 2024 will now take place from the 13th of April to the 14th.

The Modded Rainmaker Test-Fire is taking place throughout today! In this #challenge, your objective is to help Sheldon test out his latest modifications to the Rainmaker weapon.

For this specific challenge, the mode will be Rainmaker and the maps will be Inkblot Art Academy and Humpback Pump Track. Fully charged Rainmaker shots in this challenge will fire in 3 directions, the abilities of the playing holding the Rainmaker will be boosted and the Rainmaker will explode after 30 seconds of being held by someone.

The weapons for this one are Splash-o-Matic, S-BLAST '92, Dynamo Roller and the Squiffer.

The Eggstra Work shift has 5 waves, here's what you can expect in each wave:

• Wave 1: Normal / High Tide
• Wave 2: Mudmouth / Normal Tide
• Wave 3: Normal / Low Tide
• Wave 4: Tornado / Low Tide
• Wave 5: Normal / Normal Tide

There sure seems to be a lot of news today, from the online closure date to the Deep Cut concert to now Side Orders release date! No doubt it's damage control with the online shutdown tbh.

Anyways, I am pleased to announce that Nintendo has released another trailer for the Side Order DLC which comes attached with the release date.

News / Nintendo Live: Deep Cut concert premiering on February 10th

I'm here to deflect the bad news we posted earlier.

We now have official dates on when the Deep Cut concert will be premiering (as well as #TheLegendofZelda Orchestra). If you remember, #NintendoLive was cancelled due to threats being made towards Nintendo employees and Deep Cut was scheduled to host a concert there as well as TLOZ Orchestra (did I even post about the concert before tbh?).

Anyways, without any further delay, let's announce the dates. On February 9th at 11am GMT, The Legend of Zelda Orchestra will be premiering. On the next day at the same time, Deep Cut will be performing!

News / Nintendo Network: Splatoon 1, Animal Crossing New Leaf and Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer online services closing on April 9th

Some unfortunate news that we have today. Nintendo has officially announced that online services will be shutting down for the #WiiU and #3DS on the 9th of April at 12am BST (the Nintendo UK article says 8th for some reason, ignore lol).

This means that you will no longer be able to join your friends in Tortimer's Island or in their town. No longer able to upload your amazing homes online. And, you'll no longer be able to splat your friends online.

It's a truly sad day.

If you haven't already, I would highly advise you to modify your Wii U and 3DS so you can keep playing online. @pretendo is an amazing service that attempts to restore online functionality.
