Barnacle & Dime has been getting overrun with Salmonoids...

Grizzco is asking you to step up for the next 48 hours and save Barnacle & Dime from the Salmonoids. I've heard that there's been new sightings of a mysterious King Salmonoid called Megalodontia.

For this Big Run, it's a bit different from the rest. You'll need to net 135 Eggs if I remember correctly to get all the decorations from this weekend's Big Run.

Hopefully all those employees at the shopping centre are alright 🤞

One year ago, I decided to create an account called @[email protected] (I deleted it a month or so ago, so don't try and bother looking through it, post archives are available on @[email protected]).

From when I started it, I wanted this to be a place where I could share Splatoon news updates to the #fediverse community.

We now have around 630 followers, and I couldn't be more grateful for your support.

We've grown from just a place to share news updates to a place where we share news, hold events (e.g. #splatoon3fedichampionships) and discuss Splatoon (in our Matrix room ofc).

Even though we're still a small community here on the fediverse, I'd like to thank you all for supporting.

Before I go, we're hosting an event tomorrow at 8pm GMT in the #splatoonfedipool celebrating the new season! Join us on Matrix and get updated on when it starts.

Also, I'd like to tag some cool people (sorry if I miss some of you) which have greatly helped in this journey. This includes @oatmealdome (unfortunate that they don't post here anymore, but the posts made elsewhere are still very helpful), @soap (runs splatsville.social which is the freshest server for squids to join), @mattisenhower (who runs @splatoon3ink which provides stage rotation updates), @stux (who ran the original server we were on) and @esm (runs this server and lethallava.land). I know I'm only scratching the surface with those names, but thank you.

• Oh My Gush: Gushers will appear on stages
• Making It Rain... Here?: The Rainmaker will appear on other game modes (like Splat Zones I assume)
• Towering Tower Control: The tower is big enough to fit your entire team
• Fastest Blasters: You can only use blasters
• Fully Charged: You can only use chargers

Probably worth mentioning now that we already have statistics for the pre-determined Big Run scores, thanks to this tweet.

You need 135 Eggs to score Gold, 110 to score Silver and 85 to score Bronze in this weekend's #BigRun.

I'm intrigued to see whether this ever comes to Eggstra Work ngl.

Patch notes for version 6.0.0 for Splatoon 3 are now available. The update will release on the 30th of November at 1am GMT.

Some major unannounced changes include:

• You now get a Sheldon License at the end of a season
• Invincibility frames for Reefslider increased by roughly 1/8 of a second
• The game now keeps a record of 5 win streaks in Anarchy Series
• Kraken Royale and Triple Splashdown are now playable in Salmon Run
• Minimum score for each milestone in a #BigRun is now pre-determined
• If you have a badge for a certain Salmon Run stage, you'll now be put at a higher job title at the start of a rotation which uses that stage
• Type of King Salmonoid in a rotation is now displayed
• Ability to exchange extra Sheldon Licenses for Shell-Out Tokens
• Wandercrust Journey 4 added to SplatNet app

The name for this is the Triple Splashdown, it's worth also talking about the two weapons that will be kitted out with this special weapon.

These are the Enperry Dualies, which comes with the Curling Bomb, and the Custom Blaster which gets Point Sensor.

It looks like a #BigRun might be coming on the 2nd of December at 12am GMT.

Based on publicly available data from the Nintendo Switch Online app, we can see an unusually long 56 hour rotation on the 29th at 4pm. Most rotations are usually 40 hours, so that's why we think a Big Run will be happening (2nd of December is a Saturday in case you're interested).

If there is a Big Run, we'll probably see this announced later on today at 9am GMT, I'll keep you all updated.
