Nothing OS support (self.nothing)

Hi all

I found the Nothing Phone 2 in my search for a new device. Since my OnePlus 6 is giving up after 5 years, I'm in need of a new one.

I love everything I see about NP2. There is one thing holding me back: they only offer 3 years of updates and 4 years of security patches...

This is a serious drawback for me because I really don't want to end up with a OnePlus6 scenario as I have today... Compared to the Pixel 8, which is a tad more expensive but offers 7 years of updates, this is a big gap! Even other flagship phones from other companies offer more support than NP2 (Samsung, Oneplus).

This does not fit the sustainability value that Nothing seems to stand for.

Is there any chance that they will extend support for NP2 later? If not, how easy is a Custom ROM after 4 years without breaking anything?

Thanks in advance for any advice

I am looking for new wireless earbuds. I plan to mostly use them with my iphone. Airpods are nice but a bit expensive for me. So while checking out other earbuds I came across nothing ear 2. Is anyone here using them? I would love to hear about your opinions, pros cons etc.
