I'm going to ask my psychiatrist before making decisions about dosing, but I am looking for personal experiences.

Reason for asking: In the Microdosing Handbook, the author says that atypical antipsychotics should theoretically render mushrooms ineffective because they block the 5-HT2A serotonin receptors that psilocin acts upon.

I'm on Vraylar. However, when I took 0.5 grams of shrooms, I definitely felt some mild sensory and cognitive effects.

i mean, come on, pussies.

back in the day, i downloaded the manual through a high speed connection. it's been nice navigating my 20's, 30's and 40's using the cheat codes.

the only times i microdose is when i'm going to be playing music on stage and i want to keep it together. otherwise, i need lke, 2-5 hits to get me where i want to be - entertained. again, i downloaded the manual a long time ago so i just use this shit for fun now. catch up.

What is microdosing?

Microdosing involves taking very small, sub-perceptual doses of psychedelic substances, such as LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), psilocybin mushrooms, or mescaline-containing cacti like peyote or San Pedro. These doses are typically much lower than what would produce hallucinogenic effects, often around one-tenth to one-twentieth of a full recreational dose.

The goal of microdosing is not to induce a psychedelic trip, but rather to experience subtle enhancements in mood, cognition, creativity, or productivity, while minimizing any potential negative effects.

Many people who microdose report benefits such as increased focus, creativity, emotional well-being, and enhanced problem-solving abilities. However, it's essential to note that microdosing is still a relatively new and understudied practice, and its long-term effects and risks are not yet fully understood.
