Saw the community could still use a few more posts so I thought I'd share one of my favorite albums.

Since I think wefwef ate the post…

Been doing this a while - save for the month, find some good albums, then buy buy buy. Curious what y’all are buying and what other awesome Math-rock came out this month.

  • Gabba - Recollections (math)
  • Arch Echo - Final Pitch (prog metal)
  • Stuck In November - First Slice of Cake (math; trying to find some thing like Zefs chasing Cara)
  • Pomegranate Tiger - All Input is Error (prog-metal/djent)
  • The Chronicles of Father Robin - The Songs & Tales of Airoea, Book 1 (retro prog supergroup! Tons of mellotron. From some of the gang in Tusmørke, Wobbler, Jordsjo)

This community is very small so I decided to share these two codes here.

Please comment if you used one.

[new release] Gabba - Recollections (gabbasantiago.bandcamp.com)

Had no idea who this guy was, just dug the track “Overcurrent” when it was first released.

There’s a whole album here now, and he is/was in “Tom’s Story”, which I guess I’ll have to check out next. Nice tapping, enjoyed this.

It’s also been too damn quiet in here - there’s only 100 of us, so let’s start sharing more. :)

I was trying to find some new math-rock bands and came across this. There’s also a KEXP performance from Buenos Aires. Definitely some post, and quite a bit of math. Some nice tapping and atmospherics.

Recently came across this band that I want to share. More post punk that a lot of math rock but still of great mathy riffs and time signatures.

Sounds a tiny bit like Abebisi Shank or Standards. Seriously annoyed I just recently found this - it’s fantastic and I wish they had more.

For the first post to this new community thought I would start it off with the song that started my journey into math rock genre.
