19th President of Syria In office 17 July 2000 got removed and flet the country to Moscow before 7 December 2024 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bashar_al-Assad by multiple (partly Sunni) groups

After Assad already lost northern oil rich territories to US backed Kurdish forces, on 7th of December Russia + Iran lost an important ally in this region.

Yes Assad was a brutal dictator but not a radical Islamist.

Iran + Russia unwilling to help, Assad flet the country the gov collapsed.

Good for Israel as weapons from Iran and Russia can not anymore enter Lebanon.

Good for Turkey because Syrian oil might now flow through a pipeline to Turkish ports to be exported, earning a profit (that's what Erdogan is mostly about: profit, profit, profit)

Bad for Russia + Iran.

Wish the Syrian people a INNOVATIVE, FAIR, SOLAR POWERED (?), TRULY DEMOCRATIC (?) RESTART of their country, as millions of Syrians living abroad might return if it becomes a nation that is worth living in, tourists might come as well, hopefully NOT another dictatorial IS style sharia country, good luck all involved.
