Image of 9 Lamy Safari pens of various colors in a neat row.

They are beginner pens, good for kids, but adults like them too.

I like them for two reasons.

First, they come in so many colors. I have 10 now, but I'm not even halfway there. I think there are over 50. Very colorful and collectable...and not too expensive.

Second, they remind me of that happy feeling when I was a kid and managed to find a "big" paperclip somewhere. The pen clip looks just like a "big" paperclip to me.

Other perks are that you can disassemble a pen and reassemble it with another pen to make fun color combos and that different sizes of nibs are easily swapped out.

I've always searched for a pen that has the right feel, writes nicely, and has an ink color that is perfect. Fountain pens offer all this.

I've got pens from really cheap ones up to a nice retractable pilot. Every pen has it's advantages and quirks. My favorite changes from day to day.

Thought I'd make a place where people can discuss!
