I fostered Midnight back in 2006, and within a week someone wanted to adopt him. I called the rescue agency, and I was sobbing on the phone about how I got attached. They said "Did you not know you get first right of refusal as a foster parent? If you want him, he's yours!"
Thus started Midnight's 13-year journey with us. He passed in 2019, and I can assure you he lived a great life. My funniest memory is him hiding under a table at the dog park because a Westie was barking at him. Midnight may have been a 70-lbs beast, but he was delicate and sensitive like a flower.
