Spurs youngsters shine for England U19s as they thrash Romania 6-0.

Jamie Donely scored 2

Will Lankshear scored 1

Phillips and Dorrington played together at the back and kept a clean sheet.

Not bad, lads. Not bad.

Tifo Football Podcast: Is too much football causing injuries?

If you only listen to one thing this international break, make it this. A fascinating and absorbing deep dive into the many aspects and problems associated with player fitness.

Especially relevant to Spurs fans right now with so many players either out injured, managing injuries, or returning from injury. It's *much* more complicated than a binary fit/not-fit decision.

[The Athletic] Tottenham’s season so far: The signs are overwhelmingly good, despite this setback – Charlie Eccleshare

"The start Tottenham have made is an average of 2.2 points per game. Extrapolate that over the full 38 matches and it’s 83 points, which across the past six seasons would get you either a second or third-place finish. Given very few experts were tipping Spurs to do better than sixth, it’s been a very promising start."

An interesting data point on Romero. This season remains *by far* his best in terms of discipline. It's night and day. He deserves credit.

In fact, he's way down the Premier League table at #172 for number of fouls committed this season – he's on just 7.

Udogie, Deki, Biss, Porro, Sarr, Richy, and Madders are all ahead of him.

It's a shame recency bias is a thing. He deserves a great deal of credit along with Micky for being so clean this season.

Posts from the official Tottenham Hotspur social account sure do help with my state of mind in these troubling times.

[JLA] How Pochettino’s Chelsea Made Man City Look AVERAGE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-_DX9YrGIs

If Chelsea can make City look average, and we can make Chelsea look average WITH 9 MEN, then surely we're pretty good now, no?

With our best XI I mean. That shambles against Wolves is like some Frankenstein abomination from last season and doesn't count for anything.

3' - Goal Johnson

90'+1 - Goal Sarabia

90'+7 - Goal Lemina

My takeaways:

Pretty meh performance ever since the first goal. Dier's passing is still dire. Gil is still a twig. Son looked off today. Lo Celso looked hungry aggressive.

Postecoglou: "Absolutely. I am not going to draw a direct correlation to Micky's injury but I was half-tempted to throw some balls out there for them to kick around. It's the reason we have warm-ups but if you're going into a game, the fact there was only 47 minutes of game time the other night in whatever it was, 110, that is not ideal for the type of athletes we have out there"

That's the disgrace right there. All this waiting around is likely harming the players.
