Always feels a bit weird when a long-time Cap comes back to DC, and this was no exception.

Did anyone else notice how he looked a bit subdued throughout the game? Must be full of emotions on his return, even aside from the usual hockey stuff.

6 games is...a lot, but I can't argue with the justification for it. Utterly ridiculous act from a player I thought had figured this sort of stuff out.

Well. I saw the high stick, and I saw the four minutes but I must have missed that it was a deliberate act.

Washington can ill-afford to lose Wilson right now.

Pretty amazing to see how he's ratcheted up across the season. He seems invigorated by the playoff chase and with each goal he scores I'm more certain he's going to be able to do it.

Despite all of my ridicule and naysaying, the Washington Capitals are currently one point out of a playoff spot. I did not foresee this.

I still think they're going to ultimately fall short, and I still think it's a bad thing for the franchise in the long-term to be in this sort of spot but...give the players credit here, they've given themselves a shot.

Oshie: I was told there was a trade in the works with Pittsburgh at the draft, and that it was almost a done deal.

It's probably too soon to evaluate Kuzy's time in DC. I think he's been both a fantastic player, and something of a disappointment. We had some fantastic moments, and a couple of great seasons but I also think the last 3-4 years have been pretty underwhelming.

That said. We'll always have Game 6 Vs Pittsburgh. We'll always have that goal against the Islanders in Game 7; a goal that gave an entire fanbase a hope that maybe this era could be different. Bird Celly's, Slow-mo shootouts and "Not My First Rodeo's".

Thanks for the memories Kuzy. I hope you figure some things out and find a way to be happy in whatever comes next.
