I think even the first movie was more accurate than the series have been so far. There are so many inaccuracies it blows my mind. What's this about the arch thing? Hephaestus's chair? That Medusa scene wasn't even like the book. Percy never used a mirror to view her. The entire Lotus scene never went like that, there weren't even Lotuses.

I'm not saying it's a bad show, I will still watch it but it is absolutely not like the book. I can't believe Rick Riordan oversaw this production and let this all pass.

How come nobody told me this. I've been waiting on this for like a decade. I'm stoked AF y'all!

Iโ€™ve liked it quite a bit. Feels very much identical to the source material.

Are you planning to watch it?

Yes, another after the newest one that came out yesterday.

I just finished the mainline series the other day and the thing I keep thinking about is how much happened in such a short timeline overall. Especially in the final book, things really move along at such a quick pace. My executive dysfunction can't handle it.

I would give it a chance, seeing how i really liked what Disney previously did with the "Willow" series (despite most Willow fans not liking it R.I.P.) ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ž

But i hope this production will also have a good script & budget so both true and casual fans can enjoy it. ๐Ÿ˜Š

For me, it was baaaad... ๐Ÿ˜–

And i doubt than anyone here wants to defend it for what it is.

So how about instead you share your thoughts and opinions about what would have you done if you were in charge of the script! ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿง

Are we excited for the new book? I've been trying to decide how much of the series to re-read before jumping into it. Wrapping up the original five books. I'll probably skip the Kabe Chronicles because meh.

I personally consider it a classic, regradless of how much (or how little) accuracy has to the actual book.
