Here's the bike I have: https://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/mirage_tour.html

Here's the tires I want: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B6BXF43T/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3QGN5CVWB8NQ6&psc=1

I recently moved and there's less paved trails and more rail trails. I want a wider tire, but can't figure out if it will fit on the rim, within the fork/frame, or within the brake pads. I measured and 38mm looks like it should fit, but I figured someone else might know more than me. All the products and stats are listed on the site.

Also: I get it, it's not the best bike/tire combo on the market. Cycling is only really a side hobby for me, so don't shame my choices. I love my bike and the price I paid for it.

Estoy buscando una nueva bicicleta y ví está en una tienda, buen precio pero no conozco la marca. Investigué en internet y nada encontré. ¿Alguien tiene conocimiento o experiencia con esta marca?

I have a bike which currently has 26 x 1.95 / 47 - 559 tyres on it

I want to replace it with some of the Fincci puncture resistant, closest i can find is 26 x 1.95 / 50-559

Are these going to fit on the wheels ?

Obviously not this track alone, but I thought this picture was absolutely gorgeous. The rest of the tour was no less beautiful

Picked up a new 2022 Revolt 2 in sapphire after work on Friday. I'm happy as a pig in shit. I tried to justify an Advanced 1, but aluminum for half the price and still upgrading everything was certainly worth it. Still honing the adjustments in, but it got me a nice 10 mile highway and gravel road ride this morning.

Any thoughts on Poseidon? Looking at getting a gravel bike and the price point seems great.

I've got a 1993 Trek 720 that was great in college for getting me around town. The frame is ok, but big. In 1993 it cost about $350.
I now live in the country with paved state highways and gravel roads every mile. The hybrid 3x7 just isn't doing it. So, my local bike shops have different philosophies. One would like me to alter my set up. Get some drop bars, change my drive train, but use my existing frame. The other would love to sell me a gravel bike for about $1500. I honestly think I'd spend up to $3000 for additional features. Looking specifically at a Giant Revolt 1 or 2. So a $350 investment when I had no means had gotten me through 30 years. Should I feel blessed and feel ok with moving on to a modern frame that I can feel a little more relaxed on, or do I stick with nostalgia and upgrade the components? Is love to hear what you have to offer? BTW, $1500-3000 isn't really the issue, it not great this month, but it's more the attachment.

I use a Himiway Cruiser. I was thinking a 3 in 1 seemed the most practical... however let me know if there is a type thats better. Also I would appreciate knowing what brands to get.

the bike industry is experiencing a supply chain overload. Many companies forecast continued demand where none materialized, and so shops are full of stuff and low on cash. A cursory glance around the market will tell you that a whole lot of stuff is on sale, and this is the WRONG time of year to be discounting new gear.

Participating in my first ever event next week. Not really a race race but I'm still getting all excited for it. Wish me luck.

MARTA Bike (community.xmpp.net)

This may not be as amazing if you're not from Atlanta, but someone at the local bike co-op (https://sopobikes.org/) recently came in to paint a bike using MARTA (the local public transit authority; https://itsmarta.com/) colors! I've never seen such a good reaction and I've definitely never seen a bike I wanted this badly! It's just a prototype before doing it to a good frame, so I can't wait to see the final result! It's a bit hard to see in the picture, but even the cable guides are orange, yellow, and blue which I thought was a nice touch.

A white bicycle frame with orange, yellow, and blue stripes that match the marta colors
