City Underbelly was one of the winning themes of the month, and I decided to go with something that could be pretty versatile. You could use this as an underground lair, or an above ground city chunk, you could put a market down in the large open space too! In the style of 2e dungeon poster map. a subterranean river has eroded away an entrance into a forgotten dungeon.
Different colored regions denote warring factions or changing dungeon themes.
When I ran this, I had the players fall into A 1 through a collapsing cave roof into a burrow of snakes, fight a dragon section B, encounter a colony of bat people (basically kobolds that fly) sections C, D, E, F, G, H, and then discover a small Myconid colony in section I. Section J, the river also presented random encounters, and serves as an alternate entrance and exit to this map.

Trolls have taken up residence in the caves surrounding this forgotten temple. Only when adventurers come to investigate the blocked river will they have a chance of finding something more.

This single route to the center maze protects against spells such as passwall with walls filled with pressurized lava that damage cheaters and seal the wall behind it.

Tremendous in size, this burning tree hides two access points along its east side to hollowed out caves and veins of lava within.

Above the line: main map. Cave access is hidden on the left side of the map within the cliff face.
Below the line: second- and sub-levels.

This long-dry-river-now-road hides a shadowy cave in its crook. Conceal the cave with either fog of war or additional foliage assets.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that I LOVE Lovecraftian stuff. And this month’s winning themes are Cosmic Horror and City Underbelly… and honestly, I feel like I could have a whole Patreon dedicated to Lovecraftian stuff alone. Oh and this is a phased battle map, but Lemmy doesn't let me upload more than one picture to the post (tried in the comments too and it is giving me errors).
Here’s a quick reminder, just in case you wanted to use one of these phased battle maps on Roll20, and not sure how to: you can just go to the map layer, and put the phased maps, from last phase to first, on top of each other. Then when it is time to get to a new phase, you can simply right click the top layer and then click “Send to Back”.
If you are a Foundry user, I have Scene Phaser, with both a free and a premium version that makes it super easy for you to use phased maps in Foundry!

This was a post that was a response to the weekly prompt from /c/Mapmaking . Here was the prompt:
This Week’s Prompt: A sprawling, labyrinthine library in an ancient, arcane tower.
Envision an arcane tower, nestled away from the prying eyes of the world. Within its lofty confines lies a labyrinthine library, stretching across floors and disappearing into shadowy corners. The air thrums with the silent whispers of countless tomes. What mysteries do these dusty pages hold? What encounters could one stumble upon in this maze of knowledge?
Trying to work more with dungeon alchemist, trying to get better about getting maps that are usable fast as possible rather than getting stuck on nitty gritty details. Also just trying to learn how to use it more. The cinematic tool is pretty cool, I wish I could change the skybox up though.

As requested, we have an old lighthouse by a cliffshore, inhabited by two masonic gargoyles who seem to be working on something....big.
I wanted to link the different floors of the light house together rather than just having three circles arranged and labeled. Overall I'm pretty into it. I hope you guys like it too.

This was made using Dungeon Alchemist, which Im still getting used to. Its a drastically faster mapmaking tool, so trying to improve my skills with it so I can make maps faster on the fly.
