Finally got a shot of this odd door near Cleveland Dam in Capilano Canyon this morning. I'm not sure what it's for... presuming it's an emergency exit or something similar.

Hey,
I have studio flashes and wanted to play around with colored lighting. The only option seems to be to use those barn-doors with gels in front. I wanted to use a softbox however. How would one go about that? Wrapping a gel around the glass bell is probably not a good idea due to the heat of the flash tube or is it?

I had an idea while visiting Crescent Beach here in North Florida, so of course I found myself wading too far out into the ocean, holding my camera over my head and hopping over waves to keep it dry. Luckily there was a sandbar out there and some nice waves breaking on it. I liked the light and dark split coming from one wave and the reflections from an otherwise calm ocean.

Exploring some trails on Mt. Fromme today. Streams were all really dry... hoping that this will be a good re-visit in the fall once things are wet again.
