One of the updates I was waiting eagerly for is collaborative playlist as I am driving in a carpool and didn't want to just play my music. I also didn't want to mess with my suggestions which Shareplay answered for most part.

The nice thing I with Shareplay was that the other people in my car didn't need to have a music subscription when I have one and they could add songs to the queue.

I made a carpooling list and hoped that they could add to it but they needed subscriptions for that. I suggested they shareplay and then look if they could add to my carpooling playlist, but they didn't manage to.

Has anyone been able to do this?

Not sure when exactly those were added – sorry if it's late breaking news, I almost never create playlists (screenshots of version 4.5.0 on Android), but I think they're looking pretty nice. Colors seem to be defined by the first track's cover art.

Every once in a while I git on a radio station that really slaps, is there a way to save these so they don't roll off my history?

Well, actually it’s just one lol. Now, you can see all the credits and information for any song on Music!

After a year of searching I finally figure out a solution to my sound check volume issues. When I had originally migrated to apple music I uploaded my 20k song mp3 collection. It turns out it matched about 85% of it, but the other songs were just uploaded. Those uploaded songs do not work with sound check, they have to be added via apple music or matched.

So I've slowly been deleting my uploaded songs and replacing them with apple music versions. It's a pretty manual process and a PITA, but at least it should be fixed for 95% of my music when done. It's typically soundtracks and singles that don't match the exact album info in apple music. The other songs aren't on apple music at all (more indie stuff). I may test adjusting the track gain on the local mp3 and re-uploading it - not sure if that translates to volume level on cloud playback or only local device playback.

Hopefully this will help someone else out there.

Apple Music's convention of putting guest artists/vocalists in the track titles drives me a little bit crazy.

It messes up your 3rd party/Last.FM stats, it pollutes track titles with metadata that shouldn't be in there, and it's just plain ugly. On some albums, every track has a guest artist and you're presented with this huge wall of text.

An example album. Not the worst example, but still annoying. It really gets unwieldy when it's the whole album, or when the guest artists have long names.

iTunes/Apple Music have always struggled with how to represent more than 1 artist in metadata. Seems they should either make Artist able to hold n artists instead of only 1. Or they could add a new metadata field for guest artists/vocalists; you could toggle the visibility when you're curious, and hide it to be more minimalist. The song should appear in your library under both artists. AM does do this to an extent on the AM artist pages, with the "appears on" section, but their use of that seems inconsistent.

In the meantime, on desktop you can edit the tracks back to normal. I usually copy it over to the "Comments" field. But this is labor intensive, plus AM ignores your library metadata when you listen to stations.

I don’t have a question but more of a suggestion and recommendation. If you find yourself switching from Spotify to Apple Music, use your computer to do it and use TuneMyMusic. It was $4.50 one time charge or monthly if you need that option. But it was so easy to use.
Also, if your “Liked” Playlist doesn’t move over, you have to use the desktop Spotify app, CTRL + A the Liked Playlist, add a new one and rename it. Be mindful this option doesn’t exist in Apple Music, so you would have to add future liked songs to this specific playlist after you move it over. I hope this helps someone!
