I know, it’s a long way off still. But I’m pumped and can’t wait.

The easy choice for the top spot, San Francisco fielded the highest-graded linebacker group in the NFL last season. They finished second in the NFL in run-defense grade (90.7) and led the NFL with an outstanding 88.5 coverage grade.

The 49ers boast two legitimate stars in Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw. Warner is the NFL’s most consistent coverage linebacker and posted a career-high 89.7 run-defense grade this past season, too. Greenlaw had a career year in 2022, earning a 79.6 overall grade bolstered by a nearly 20-point jump in coverage grade.

The group lost situational run defender Azeez Al-Shaair in free agency, but Oren Burks seems poised to take over that role.

The 49ers have the best pair of linebackers in football and the depth to fill in if one of them were to suffer a short-term injury. They are the current gold standard at the position.

Every major city community needs a post or two like this, right?

Flying in Monday, June 26 (can make it as early in the day as I'd like, really) and have the whole day free. 9-5 at work the next two days and flying out on the Thursday (again, anytime).

The office is near Union Square, so I imagine the hotel is going to be close by (actually making travel arrangements on Tuesday, but the hotel will be preselected by the company). There are no dinner plans on the itinerary but I suspect I'll have some unofficial invites out for dinner or at least drinks, so don't want to plan too much on these days - but contingencies are good to have - or reccomendations for my fellows flying in.

I love food of all sorts (I hear SFO is the only place in the world with traditional Japanese tofu still being made? Also please tell me where all the best bubble tea is), crowds, and walking. I'm a city rat and anything that lets me take in the urban feel is much appreciated. Any unique cultural experiences are a must.

I'm also queer, so reccomendations for gay shit requested. I know I'm just missing Pride, but it's also Pride at home the weekend prior, so I'll be doing that.

If there is any sort of activity I can join as a solo person for some camraderie that isn't just drinking in a club/bar/pub please let me know. Something like boardgames or Escape Games where you're paired with strangers can be fun or frustrating but I'll risk it, haha.

“2017: 5.0% — #29

2018: 6.9% — #19

2019: 9.0% — #2

2020: 5.3% — #24

2021: 8.0% — #4

2022: 7.0% — #15

Do they have the personnel and depth necessary to return to 2019 — or at least 2021 stretch run — levels? Hargrave + Bosa is big”

Brocks recovery has been amazing to read about. Hoping he continues to get better at this pace.

Hope he's able to start , not hearing great things about Lance
