Everybody can use this code. It gives you a Yellow 2023 Worlds T-Shirt. I think you can redeem it until Tuesday, 15 August.

You can redeem it on the app or here.

Lure or Incense? (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by Moonstone to c/pokemongo

As most of you already know, Sunday is community day. It's my first time and i wanted to know what's better to get more wild pokemon to spawn.

Is it better to sit around in a park and use a Lure or is it better to get a walk in the city with an incense?

Just want to prepare myself for the event. :3 Any more tips for the community day?

Cool tutorial!

I am just an amateur. I would try to select all the Numbers, then maybe select -> grow 1 or 2 pixels. Then paint it white where i want, maybe in a second layer under the numbers. And a second layer above the number, for the interior. Then i would use the blur tool to try to give it the little glow effect.

Anyway hope that helps, I'm sure there is a better way to do it, but i don't know much yet.

So CP isn't important as long as it has good IV? Right?

Hello guys. I started playing again after 5-6 years, and having a blast. However, here are a lot of plant pokemon on my town so i thought in get & evolve some of them.

I am level 24, and got to evolve a Jumpluff, but it has very little CP (less than 600CP) even for a 3form evolved pokemon. It has good IVs, but i saw on a online database that it caps on 1850 CP. So i got this question, how important is really CP? Is it worth powering this little girl up?

I am not gonna lie, i find her cute, that's why i wanted to use it in gyms, and things like that.

MoveSearcher Tool for PTU (roberto96.gitlab.io)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by Moonstone to c/pokemontabletop

I made a Move-Searcher Tool for PTU [Pokemon Tabletop United].

The website let you filter moves by name, DB, Type, Frequency, AC and Category. It has dark mode, and light mode. It's also available on Spanish!

https://roberto96.gitlab.io/ptu_movesearcher/

i am not very skilled at coding, so there may be one or two errors, however, it should work good enough.

Hope you guys find it useful. Happy role-playing!

How interesting! I never heard of it before. How is it comparing it to Pokemon Tabletop United?

At first glance looks like they are no trainer classes.

Main Resource Thread (self.pokemontabletop)

Hey there, and welcome to the unofficial Pokemon Tabletop Community. This here is the place to discuss:

  • Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: A system built off a somewhat D&Desque framework, intended to help replicate gaming in Pokemon Media.

  • Pokemon Tabletop United: A system many of the devs of PTA built in an attempt to unify (hence the name) some of the disparate aspects of PTA, including the big one of making Pokemon and Trainers able to properly interact with one another in the system, as well as change a lot of elements viewed as unwieldy or unbalanced. This is the most common one of the three played, and is finished active development.

  • Pokemon Odyssey (formerly Pokemon Journeys): A system in active development, this system by the devs of PTU moves farther away from attempting to replicate the games exactly. Emphasis is put on making the game better for tabletop, even when some source accuracy is sacrificed in the process. People willing to run playtest games are always encouraged!

Here's a collection of helpful links to get started:

I agree with you!

I read the all the books some months ago out of curiosity. The game came out, the school library had all the books, and i was just searching for a new book to read when i saw them. In my opinion, the first ones were okay, but the last ones are badly flawed in every way possible. Ron becomes dumber with each book, the romance of harry is so bad written i couldn't believe it how terrible it was, and the worst of the worst are the obvious plotholes.

J.K. Rowling had more luck than skill.

World-building is hard (self.keepwriting)
submitted 1 year ago by Moonstone to c/keepwriting

Before summer holidays i decided to try to start writing a book, or at least, a long and engaging story. I wrote some months ago a short fanfic and the few people that read it like it very much.

However, writing something original sure is much harder. I was about to start writing before noticing i would need some world building beforehand. I started brainstorming what fantasy races, cultures, etc... i want. I took some notes in Obsidian of how i want the world & characters to be: Their flaws, their strengths.... Writing fanfic is much easier in my opinion, you have already all the fleshed out characters and detailed world.

Anyway, i didn't write a single line of the actual story and feel like i am wasting time planning everything about the world. It can be frustrating.

Did you guys get stuck world building too? What approach do you have with it?
