Man I really want to get into Linocut. Any beginner-friendly resources you could share?

my first advice would be to buy good equipment (pfeil for example) and good inks. You have drawing transfer methods which are very effective if you don't want to draw directly on the linoleum. I use the liquid medium method with a laser printer. it's fantastic.

I might be completely misremembering here, but the vibe of this reminds me a lot of part of an exhibit I saw in the Autry Museum of the American West last year that was about surveillance in the western US. I went down a rabbit hole trying to find more than a blurb (the exhibit was Out of Site: Survey Science and the Hidden West, if you have any interest in it), but unfortunately couldn’t find pics of the exact pieces it was reminding me of.

Which is to say, this wouldn’t look out of place on exhibit in a museum. Very cool work!

Thank you very much ! i'm currently saving my work for an exhibition one of these days; not in a museum but in a gallery for a start :D. it was aerial/topographic/satellite images so i guess? i'll try to find some images on the net as well, you never know.

I’m not your little bitch. I’m not going to comb the internet to look for one little link I saw a week ago

I’ve seen lithographs all over the Internet for something almost exactly like this but not quite

aw, ok. could you send me a link if you find what it is?

Thank you very much and I'm glad you like it! :) you must certainly be talking about pioneer and voyager plates! they are indeed my primary source of inspiration and a thread that runs through all my engraving work.

These designs are kinda flooding the market lately.

mhm, I don't know what “market” you're talking about but these are handmade art prints so you can't say I'm flooding the market even though I regularly post here or on reddit to present my work.

This is beautiful. I have an old Hitchhikers’s Guide omnibus edition with gold lettering that this reminds me of. I should give the whole series another read. Thanks for posting this.

ohhh I would love to have this! I have a very common edition bought in a bookstore but this kind of work deserves a nice edition! :) good proofreading

I would like to introduce you to the work of Sergio Suarez. the image comes from his site. For me, he is one of the engravers whose work captivates me the most with its size, its sobriety and its depth.
