Yeah, remember when you used to have to buy minutes??! With some plans you could roll over unused minutes, but with others you couldn't! Like 20 bucks for 100 minutes and you couldn't even save them from month to month! I'm glad those days are gone, but I'm not sure we're paying any less...
I can't do math in pencil anymore, but that looks like a great one!
I did a similar thing, but I would tell them the phone number of the public phone I was calling from, so they could call me and we could have a normal conversation. If they didn't call right away, I'd do it again, knowing they'd be waiting for the number this time.

The story behind this album seems pretty tragic to me. That Dad doesn't seem very reasonable, and house poor kids were at his mercy doing someone they really didn't want to do, and that they recognized was pretty awful.
My kids not l both really love My Pal Foot-Foot though! My son once asked me what the worst song in the world was, and I played him this album. So of course he loved it 🤷♂️
For large sums of money, it's pretty common to use cashier's checks, which is probably the kind of check that they're talking about here.

I just got used to using a fine-tipped pen. I also need to meticulously keep track of my mistakes, and try to explain them to myself in the margins, which I do with a different color.
I used to LOOOOOVE mechanical pencils, but I just can't do pencils anymore. As smooth and dark as it is, it's never a smooth and dark as a good pen.
