As an iOS user, I was disheartened to see that there’s no app for Lemmy in the app store. Someone pointed me to wefwef.app by /u/driftingDeep. It’s surprisingly easy to install.

  1. Go to https://wefwef.app
  2. Click the share button.
  3. Click add to home screen.
  4. Use like any normal app.

Posting this in case it helps others who were confused as I am the first time around.

While there are some iOS applications in active development that are accessible through TestFlight, it turns out I just installed WeWef and it’s the absolute best experience for Lemmy so far.

Glad you liked wefwef. Its editor is not as full featured as the one in the browser but it’s definitely faster when browsing and scrolling.

There are multiple apps in active development. If you can find the TestFlight invite to Memmy, I think it’s comparable and in some ways better than wefwef

Unfortunately, I’m not a techie person so I’m not sure how to access Test Flight. I’ll patiently wait til they’re all out of production and hopefully, like Apollo, would also offer a way for us users to donate or support the developers.
