Not the red cross on a white field. That's the symbol of the Red Cross, and they get antsy if anyone else uses it. But you can use the white cross on a red field. Or a green cross. Or the rod of Asclepius. The caduceus isn't really supposed to be for medicine.

Maybe to add to this:
Often times potions/flasks with some liquid inside (I'd say red or green) are used to symbolize "healing (potion)" in video games.
Maybe you could combine both, use a flask for the video-game part, a red/green cross inside it for the real-world connotation.
Just a thought :)
Is there a context or theme for it? Honestly, if you just want to convey a pure healer, then just a cross would work. As was suggested, the rod fo Asclepius works, though better suited for more modern times or roles suited more towards a medical practioner rather than just a healer.
Trying to avoid religious iconography, which unfortunately rules out a ton of options on both the irl and gaming sides. 99% of medical facilities are something like "Saint Phloppy's Erectile Dysfunction Center" and 50% of healing content from gaming revolves around clerics and holy magic.
I like the rod of Asclepius / caduceus (another poster mentioned it wasn't meant for medicine, but regardless of origin it's definitely a symbol for medicine today).
Image currently in my head is serpent ascending a staff with a phoenix perched on top, wings spread and head kinda dipped / beak open and facing the serpent -- kind of a standoff scene.
